Hello FReepers. I am curious about your favorite folder knife. I'm looking for recommendations from people who carry for every day use. Preferably made in the USA and want to stay under $100 but will consider higher.
Do not want a cheap stainless blade. Need something that sharpens to shaving level.
Thank-you in advance.

Leatherman Skeletool KB
Most states will put me in jail for that carry. Button spring switch and stiletto blade.
My brother-in-law and I like inexpensive knives but I don’t really get crazy until I get into Harmonicas.
You’re a little scary at times. ;)

CRKT, Leatherman, and Benchmade are about the only redeeming things to come out of the Portland Metro area.

And the rest of us are just piddling around with whetstones.
:-\
It all varies state to state. I travel each year through or to, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Illinois, Michigan, Tennessee, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Maryland, Kentucky, Georgia, and Florida to see family in six states.
Wow.
Bummer.
Texas, you can now just walk around with a switchblade for fun.
I wish I could move there.
:)
I used to piddle also until arthritis got me.
o_O
i use a table top belt sander- very carefully, so as not to heat blade up- slowly- then use a stropping leather on the sander to give it razor edge- like the following but diff company, can’t remember name now- it’s down in the cellar- too lazy to go check lol
I’ve tried all kinds of different sharpeners- nothing does as quick and good a job as the belt sander- the ken onion is along the same line- but smaller- and i think it has variable speed too? which would be nice o n the belt sander model i use- The leather stropping belt is awesome- puts a mirror finish on blade edge-
I have a 2 inch Gerber i have carried since the 90s.
