I am old enough, that I heard from my grandma. Nobody had any vaccines then, people just dropped dead, including my two grand uncles. And so did the village people in her place, particularly the ones who avoided the draft. Granma took it sort of like God punishment for doing that.
It was not Spanish Flu, but the King of Spain almost died of it, no vaccination either.

Looking up, there was no flu vaccine really developed until 1938. They were trying, created something, did not worked, it was not used.
Nobody got it!
Blaming the dead’s for faulty vaccine is total Bull.
People died of the flu, not of the vaccine!

There were no vaccines to speak about in 1918! Only Smallpox, cholera, plague, rabies.
But the horrendous toll of the flu spurred the vaccination efforts. Sort of like last year. It only took them 20 years then.
They were using masks then though! With similar results.

Small city then. There were always those around, and they still are. Pushing some imaginary treatments right now.
Not a global vaccination efforts. 99.999% people in the world were not vaccinated to any degree, being it by snake oil or not, so this had no effects in the big picture.
Yes, people tried all kind of stuff, it was a desperate time. Most of the treatments were not very helpful, but mostly harmless.
Anyway - this was purportedly serum, not vaccine. That’s a big difference. The first somewhat useful vaccine for flu came in 1938, 20 years later.
I am just flabbergasted by this guy, who blames Spanish Flu deaths on “faulty vaccine” when there was none available. Just stunning!
