The Jacksonville Jaguars are planning on signing Tebow to a one-year deal, according to NFL Network, as he plans a comeback as a tight end. Though the ex-quarterback had brief stints with the Patriots and Eagles, Tebow hasn’t played in the NFL since 2012 with the Jets.
Tebow, 33, recently had a tryout with the Jaguars after reaching out to them regarding his interest in converting to tight end.

Tebow has the physical skills, and for sure the work ethic to get into NFL condition. He can play tight end, or set up as a slot back etc. And he can add a dimension by throwing or pitching out the ball on reverses etc.
Compared to the typical 30 year old NFL tight end, he hasn’t taken the injuries and physical beating, so he’s more comparable to a 25 year old.
I wish him all the best!

Sounds like an attempt to bring back and sell some tickets to conservative fans in the area. He’ll see some downs in the pre-season, and if he isn’t cut, will ride the bench the whole season.

I wish Tebow well also. If he had agreed to change positions when he first came into the League he might be enjoying a long career. He has great skills and athleticism.
To: conservative98
Tebow could probably be well established in a career in sports broadcasting or commentary by now, and would almost certainly be making more money doing that. Dude must really want to play in pro sports - any pro sport, from the looks of it.
To: conservative98
I don’t see how he’s on the opening day roster for the regular season.
To: conservative98
I bet he shows up on time in the agreed upon venue and will be humble

I totally didn’t ask him the one time I met him but I think Tebow and my half cousin were on the Columbia Fireflies together for 10 days in June 2017.

I hope succeeds.
The few times I saw him play I kept thinking “Ed Podolak !” of ancient KC Chiefs fame.

This would actually be his 5th NFL chance. At least this time he’s willing to not be QB.
