You can give the USSR credit for helping win the war without making a moral judgement against the people. Yes, the government was Communist. Yes, Stalin was a bad MF. This doesn't change the fact that millions of men gave their lives to defend their homeland and defeat Hitler. These people were not somehow subhuman because their government was Communist. These were normal people. Wives lost their husbands, children grew up without their fathers.
Today, the Russians celebrate this victory because it is important. These celebrate it because regardless of the government then or now, it was a victory of the people against fascism. It is quite possible to celebrate the victory without celebrating the Communism of the USSR, and quite alright to celebrate the accomplishments of the Red Army (and display their symbols). Recognizing the sacrifice of these great men by using the flag they fought and died under is not something negative, but rather necessary and proper.
I'm not really sure how to conclusively prove to you that a factually, obviously non-Communist country is actually not Communist.
Do you have some theory that Russia is secretly Communist under the covers, despite the freedoms of economic activity, travel, and day to day life that obviously exist?
In this secretly Communist country, citizens have the right to come and go, own property, run businesses and conduct commerce (all with minimal taxation), live wherever they like, obtain whatever foreign citizenships they like without penalty, obtain private medical care if they desire to do so, access the Internet without restriction, and right now, live their lives with a minimal set of COVID-related restrictions.
Day-to-day life in the RF right now is palpably 'freer' than in most of the USA. What ****ing Communism?

"...while Black Lives Matter claim to oppose police abuse and racism around the world, the organization is simultaneously a great supporter of some of the world’s most brutal and repressive dictators. In particular, the founders of BLM have been staunch supporters and allies of the sanguinary Venezuela dictator Nicolas Maduro and of the Castro regime in Cuba.
In December 2015 Black Lives Matter sent a delegation, headed by the organization’s co-founder, Opal Tometi, to act as observers during the Venezuelan Parliamentary elections of that year. The Maduro regime did not allow accreditation for observers from the Organization of American States, the UN, or the EU. The only accredited observers where from regimes and organizations friendly to the “revolutionary cause.”
Later that same month Tometi penned an article where she espouses, word for word, the regime’s standard text for international propaganda.
“In these last 17 years, we have witnessed the Bolivarian Revolution champion participatory democracy and construct a fair, transparent election system recognized as among the best in the world ,” wrote Tometi about one of the world’s most corrupt voting systems in history.
Earlier in 2015 Maduro was given an award at the Afro-descenndants Summit” held in Harlem. Maduro was invited at the behest of the Black Lives Matter leadership. ..."

Russia agreed to provide military training for three leftist regimes in Latin America and increase military visits and exercises following a visit last week to the region by Moscow's Defense Minister Sergei Shoygu, Pentagon officials said.
Shoygu met with defense and military leaders in Cuba, Venezuela, and Nicaragua and signed several agreements on warship visits and military training during the visit, which ran from Feb 11 to 14.
It is not clear whether any new arms deals were completed during the visit.
Defense officials said the Russian leader is seeking bases in the region for strategic bomber flights that Shoygu recently promised would include flights over the Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean. ..."

As U.S. President Donald Trump’s national security team mulls a military intervention to oust Venezuela’s strongman president, Nicolás Maduro, the Pentagon is watching China’s commercial and financial creep in the crisis-gripped nation with growing alarm.
In an interview with Foreign Policy, Adm. Craig Faller, the four-star military officer who heads U.S. Southern Command, pointed to a Chinese disinformation campaign designed to blame the United States for the blackouts that devastated Venezuela in recent weeks. ..."
Maduro, whose government is backed by China, Russia, and Cuba, has himself publicly accused the U.S. Defense Department of causing the blackouts. Following the power failures, Beijing offered to help the Venezuelan government restore its grid. ...”

Reporting from Moscow —
Neither Russia nor China has one inch of coastline on the Mediterranean Sea, making it an unlikely and provocative venue for their first joint naval war games.
The 10 days of maneuvers that got underway Monday will include live-fire exercises in the strategic sea connecting Europe, Africa and the Middle East. The point is lost on no one: A powerful new alliance of eastern giants is flexing its muscles in the very backyard of Western Europe — much as China has done on its own in the Pacific.
The war games follow Chinese President Xi Jinping’s visit to Moscow, where he headlined Victory Day celebrations and spent three days making billion-dollar deals with Russian President Vladimir Putin. ...”

Russia and North Korea declare 2015 a ‘year of friendship’
“The biggest cause for concern is the growing military alliance between Russia and North Korea, with the two regimes recently announcing plans to conduct a series of joint army, navy and air force exercises this year.”

Honestly, it’s a piece of cake to infiltrate and undermine America, Maduro an Putin aren’t earning their pay. All you have to do is promote anarchy by a PC woke protected group and our Leaders, DOJ, FBI and CIA allow it to happen. Now that’s easy.
Is it a surprise that Russia tries to do the same by coming into our hemisphere and establishing a presence? Any competent person leading Russia would do the same. Most of these countries have historical links to Russia because of the former USSR. It is not necessary to ideologically agree with a tin-pot country in order to leverage their goodwill to obtain favorable military and geopolitical positions.
Pragmatism, nothing more. It doesn't bother me at all.
It's never been any easier to manipulate America's "useful idiots", as Lenin had described those that can be so easily tricked into accepting or looking the other way. The Russians must laugh their butts off at how simple it is to do today.
Russia and China began the so-called "peace mission" series of joint war games in 2005. They claim it's about combating terrorism, but only a fool would believe that, as the games are large scale and increasingly complex. Also in this alliance are Venezuela, Iran, North Korea, and a few other hostile hard left and islamo-nazi regimes.
Recall, Bill Clinton's treasonous ChinaGate scandal began in late 1996...
From the Sino-Russian Joint Statement of April 23, 1997:
"The two sides [China and Russia] shall, in the spirit of partnership, strive to promote the multipolarization of the world and the establishment of a new international order."

"Joint war games are a logical outcome of the Sino-Russian Friendship and Cooperation Treaty signed in 2001, and reflect the shared worldview and growing economic ties between the two Eastern Hemisphere giants."

In foreign policy it’s critical to “know thine enemy.” So American policymakers should be aware that Russia and China are inching closer to identifying a common enemy - the United States.
The two would-be superpowers held unprecedented joint military exercises Aug. 18-25. Soothingly named “Peace Mission 2005,” the drills took place on the Shandong peninsula on the Yellow Sea, and included nearly 10,000 troops. Russian long-range bombers, the army, navy, air force, marine, airborne and logistics units from both countries were also involved.
Moscow and Beijing claim the maneuvers were aimed at combating terrorism, extremism and separatism (the last a veiled reference to Taiwan), but it’s clear they were an attempt to counter-balance American military might. ..."
The drums are already rolling for the upcoming Russian “Vostok” (east) wargames commencing on September 11. With its focal point in the Trans-Baikal region of eastern Siberia adjoining Chinese Manchuria and Mongolia, this is a nationwide Russian military and societal event.
Touted by Russian minister of defense Sergei Shoigu as “unprecedented in scale, both in terms of area of operations and numbers of military command structure, troops, and forces involved,” Russian state press is declaring that up to three hundred thousand troops and one thousand aircraft will be involved, with the majority from the Eastern and Central Military Districts.
This would be even larger than the near-legendary Zapad-81 maneuvers held in the western USSR during the depths of the Cold War. ...”
Calm down Adolph...
Your murderous Russian comrades signed a non-aggression “peace pact” with mass-murderering Adolph Hitler. It was only when Hitler turned on them that they went to war.

“Official records reveal 799,455 documented executions in the Soviet Union between 1921 and 1953; 681,692 of these were carried out between 1937 and 1938, the years of the Great Purge.[894]
According to Michael Ellman, the best modern estimate for the number of repression deaths during the Great Purge is 950,000–1.2 million, which includes executions, deaths in detention, or soon after their release.[895]
In addition, while archival data shows that 1,053,829 perished in the Gulag from 1934 to 1953,[896] the current historical consensus is that of the 18 million people who passed through the Gulag system from 1930 to 1953, between 1.5 and 1.7 million died as a result of their incarceration.[897]
Historian and archival researcher Stephen G. Wheatcroft and Michael Ellman attribute roughly 3 million deaths to the Stalinist regime, including executions and deaths from criminal negligence.[898]
Wheatcoft and historian R. W. Davies estimate famine deaths at 5.5–6.5 million[899] while scholar Steven Rosefielde gives a number of 8.7 million.[900]
In 2011, historian Timothy D. Snyder in 2011 summarised modern data made after the opening of the Soviet archives in the 1990s and states that Stalin’s regime was responsible for 9 million deaths, with 6 million of these being deliberate killings. ...”

Real Communists don’t tolerate deviance. Try being trans in China or Cuba and see what happens.
know most people think them communists. I do not.
I think they fit into the historical category of fascists. They work their little extortion games on race, corporations, etc like fascists did in Germany and Italy back in the 1930s.
They are racial nationalists, believing in superiority of their race=ial minorities over the white man and Asians.Thats their critical race theory, its actually nationalism based on race, just like the Nazis used to be.
They are socialists in their use of government to redistribute wealth, favoring their cronies and unions.
The two together , Nationalist Socialists was exactly what the Nazi party in Germany prior to WWII were about, they called themselves Nationalist Socialists with a believe in Aryan racal superiority, and they were socialsits , taking wealth away from the industrial class and feeding the money to their followers.
What we have today in Biden et all are Nationalist Socialists. They are Fascists by word and deed. And they pretend , just like you say, to be communists, because thats Kool to their cannon fodder BLM and ANTIFA and the Drug Cartels who pay them. They all pretend to be Che Guevera when in fact they are more like Himmler and their media that supports them are straight out of Joseph Goebbels.
And we have a fight on our hands to keep our nation free.

Real Communists don’t tolerate things like the LGBTQ movement or anarchists. Once their usefulness is up they are the first to be lined up against the wall and shot in Communist states.
