Starbucks is reportedly considering closing its Facebook page as a result of the 'hateful comments' in response to some of their posts.
An internal memo, obtained by Buzzfeed, showed concern within Starbucks at the rhetoric on the site.
Starbucks mainly posts information about their beverages on the page, which is followed by 35 million people - but they also respond to social issues, such as the conviction of Derek Chauvin for the murder of George Floyd, and the wave of anti-Asian attacks.

If you are on facefook, maybe you could post a few of the comments?

Oh dear! Starbucks is letting FB know they want these hateful comments stopped or else. There’s your cue, Mark. Time to announce even more censorship in order to spare your customers feelings, and censor the right at the same time. Well played.

Any business that jumps into partisan politics should expect to tick off half the population.
The only way it makes business sense to do this is when one side or other achieves critical mass and wins. It is a bit early for the left to celebrate complete annihilation yet.

Does anyone care to be lectured to by a corporation?!?
Just make your overpriced coffee and shut up
To: dynachrome
Are the executives at Starbucks clueless? People go to Starbucks to get coffee and other drinks and perhaps something to eat. Most of us want good service with a smile and not a lecture on the latest woke ideas.

Any business that jumps into partisan politics should expect to tick off half the population. I don’t go there because of their over-roasted coffee

Some people think that when they are famous, they have a platform and they need to use it.
They never think about responsibility for what they say.

I quit facebook years ago and only signed up for Twitter to read President Trump's posts. I never posted anything on Twitter and since they pulled their stunt I have no reason to log back on.
I'd like to believe that eventually both these platforms will fall flat on their face because their partisan political activism has ran off a good portion of their business, like myself. The logical end result of their meddling in the political process is they turn into echo chambers.

Here's a novel idea, Starbucks:
Sell coffee and STFU.
You're welcome.
