Covid is not the only reason for horizontal nail ridges. Other illnesses can also cause it.

Unless they are types of lines that dont correspond to other multiple potential problems that can cause lines in your nails, it would be dificult to conclusively say it was due to covid.

vertical lines are normal, especially as one ages.

This refers to horizontal ridges - going across the nail like speedbumps, as opposed to going down a nail
