Biden's economy will mean no electricity or small businesses, but Amazon may pay you more

Unemployment is up, far higher than expected. Close to 14 million Americans say they want to work but cannot find a job. At the very moment that unemployment is rising, fewer people are working, American businesses say they can’t find employees.

The United States is currently experiencing shortages of chicken, generators, roofing materials, lumber, ketchup, bicycles, diapers, ammunition, automobiles, plastics, appliances, chlorine, pork and propane tanks. Among other things.

To Biden small business represents the middle class that must be destroyed, like the kulaks were to Stalin. The problem is that the middle class is where the votes and the money are at, so he must be subtle.

“Close to 14 million Americans say they want to work but cannot find a job”

There is a tremendous shortage of truckers. Businesses all over my town in NC have “help wanted” signs out. Military recruiters are struggling filling quotas. Every tradesperson I know (plumber, carpenter, HVAC, electrical) says it is impossible to find good people willing to work.

Perhaps 14 million Americans cannot find a “position”. There are plenty of jobs for those who want to work.

It doesn’t matter how anyone wants to interpret any of this information.

Are people being lazy, collecting that check? Yeah, maybe.

Are people not willing to take a job that they’re overqualified for? Yeah, maybe.

Are there jobs being taken by illegals for a lot less money that would otherwise be paid? Yeah, maybe.

On and on and on.

One thing I do know, with regards to prices rising for certain products like building materials, ketchup, chicken, etc etc, our previous President would be finding out why.

President Donald Trump would be inviting people to the White House and talking to them about why there is such a shortage in everything and anything.

President Trump would listen to their concerns and what they think the solutions are.

President Trump would digest all of that information, meet with people within his administration and they would come up with a way to help.

President Trump would cut through the nonsense bureaucracy that the government has created, over decades, and create an environment that would allow these businesses and industries to solve the problems we’re facing today.

President Trump would LEAD.

As he did for the entire time he was in the White House, even while dealing with all the bullsh*t that the Democrats & Republican’s in Congress threw at him every day, the media, etc etc etc.

President Trump did not let anything get in the way of trying to help this country, solve problems and do what was right for EVERY American. Even the Leftists.

I talked to a Dollar General store locally and he said that every time the feds send out a check he has someone quit. Biden has set the stage for the collapse of the economy. And the feds and doing all they can to discourage the ordinary person from working.

I went shopping recently and chicken was available and the price was unchanged. Flour is still available for $6 per 25 lb. bag, I bake my bread. There was also good butt portion hams for under a dollar a pound, so I grabbed one to put up for the winter.

Are the high prices happening in the major media markets? Based on my experiences my feeling is that we have nasty surprises coming this winter in energy prices, given the Democrats ambition to remake our entire energy sector based on fashion rather than results.

There are NOW HIRING signs all over out town in NE Florida but nobody wants to work for the pay business can afford. A couple of friends who are mid-managers, one at a restaurant and another at a small HVAC company tell us that they cannot even get applicants to come in to apply. Why should they go to work if they can make more money sitting on the couch at home because the Biteme administration pays them more for not working.

This has go to end. Why are no onservative Republicans raising hell about this? (Oh, I forgot, there are no conservative R’s)

I think there’s a lot of truth to what you said there. Let’s leave truck drivers aside because the nature of that particular job and the business model for the industry makes it unique. Aside from that, I’d say we are seeing a “perfect storm” of three factors at work here:

1. Many unskilled Americans are either incapable of holding a job, or are getting paid more to stay unemployed than they’d get paid to work.

2. There aren’t enough trained workers to fill the skilled blue-collar jobs.

3. We have a bloated layer of mid-range professional/clerical/managerial types who probably make up a large portion of those who were laid off in the last year and haven’t been rehired. They remain unemployed simply because they won’t work in low-skill jobs in #1 and don’t have the skills to work in the jobs in #2.

Increased unemployment leads to decreased supply of labor, leads to decreased total productive ability, leads to decreased production, leads to decreased aggregate supply, leads to higher prices.

Increased money supply leads to increased aggregate demand, leads to increased prices.

#4. Who wants to put on a face diaper and go to work for an entire shift like that?

Think about it.

Except for a small handful (Meadows, Cruz, etc), the Rs never raise hell about anything. They sit back, collect their fat paychecks, sign off on Democrat nation-ruining laws, and go to Georgetown cocktail parties.

I think it's the masks - a lot of these business require you to wear a mask to work. Pretty soon, it'll be the vaccine, also.

“HVAC company tell us that they cannot even get applicants to come in to apply”

To handle refrigerants, I suspect a person must be certified. When the pool of certified people are fully employed, the only employer recourse is overtime.

I’m going to ask this because this stuff isn’t jivving with my personal experience. Is it possible that political operatives from both the Rinos and the Left are infiltrating the staff of influential MAGA people like Tucker and shoving them outside of the lived experience of people like me on the ground?

Of all the shortages listed, ammo is the only thing that I have a problem obtaining. Every thing else is available and hasn’t changed much in price.
