I went shopping recently and chicken was available and the price was unchanged. Flour is still available for $6 per 25 lb. bag, I bake my bread. There was also good butt portion hams for under a dollar a pound, so I grabbed one to put up for the winter.
Are the high prices happening in the major media markets? Based on my experiences my feeling is that we have nasty surprises coming this winter in energy prices, given the Democrats ambition to remake our entire energy sector based on fashion rather than results.
Flour for $6???? Where I am, you’re lucky to find it on sale for $3 for a 5lb package.
I have seen some good sales on meat at the local supermarkets.
And I am stocking up.
