There is no evidence that mushrooms or any other form of life exists on Mars.
The Mars rover did not take a picture of fungi growing on the planet. And so-called ‘scientists’ did not explain the existence of fungi on Mars in a research paper.
If there are mushrooms on Mars, the people on our planet have yet to uncover any evidence of their existence.
But what about the headlines?
Simply put: they’re bunk. As far as we can tell, all of the recent articles discussing the “discovery of fungi” on Mars are based on a recently published research paper discussing photographs from the Mars rover.
The paper is titled “Fungi on Mars? Evidence of Growth and Behavior From Sequential Images.” And it’s a doozy.
Per the paper:
Fungi thrive in radiation intense environments. Sequential photos document that fungus-like Martian specimens emerge from the soil and increase in size, including those resembling puffballs (Basidiomycota). After obliteration of spherical specimens by the rover wheels, new sphericals-some with stalks-appeared atop the crests of old tracks.
Okay. Uh… check please?
The only thing the researchers appear to get right is that some fungi do thrive in radiation-filled environments. But those environments are all on Earth. The persistent radiation at the Chernobyl site, for example, is not equal to, analogous to, or equivalent to the radiation we find in deep space or on Mars.
After that, the researchers claim that NASA images show the Mars rover destroying a patch of fungi with its tracks and a subsequent new patch of fungi growing in its wake.
Here’s the pics:
If you believe those images demonstrate fungus growing on Mars, I’m about to blow your find. Check out this pic:
You see that? To heck with fungus, that’s an entire highway growing out of the sand in front of a moving bus. You can clearly see that the Earth’s sandy crust is being broken apart as the expanding highway organism grows beneath it.
Or, if you’re the “Occam’s Razor” type: the wind is just blowing sand around.
I’ve never been to Mars, but I’m led to believe there are rocks, dust, and wind. Do we really need to go any further in debunking this nonsense?
You can read the whole paper here. But before you do, may I suggest you read about the history of its lead author?
This is him on his website “Brainmind.” I’m not making that up. This ‘scientist’ has been pushing this same theory for a long time and the most recent paper is just more junk.
At the end of the day, science isn’t done by looking at an image, coming to a conclusion, and then listing pre-existing facts about mushrooms until you’ve convinced yourself there’s life on an alien planet and NASA’s trying to cover it up.
Mars did however interfere with the 2020 election.
Lots of threads about this, Even I posted one last week.
it might be mana from heaven for the sand kings for all your fact checkers know

Hogwash.
Yes. It’s not real.
People who refuse to believe that a political party would rig a vote count to steal an imperative election are the same people who refuse to look at any evidence and block any from being shown, but they are quick to believe junk science like climate change and hoaxes like mushrooms on Mars.
It’s amazing to me that we have such evil minded idiots in our midst.
Mushrooms are racist.
Mars is racist, too.
I’ve been calling out the Fake Science pushers for the longest and will continue to.
These so-called scientists are so desperate to prove evolution is true and will say and do anything.
Evolution is Unproven and Unprovable...
Life exists on this planet and this planet only but scientists don’t want to believe that.
In the beginning God created the Heaven and the Earth....
I’d like to be a fungi with her.
With credentials like his, who wouldn’t believe every word he says?
Tristan Greene
Tristan covers human-centric artificial intelligence advances, politics, queer stuff, cannabis, and gaming. Pronouns: He/him
I agree with you on your point regarding the fake science pushers and on your point on evolution but you ruin your first two points by linking them to this notion...
“Life exists on this planet and this planet only but scientists don’t want to believe that.”
You don’t know for certain that God has or has not created life on other planets. Note that I said “God has or has not created life”. The notions of life on an another planet and the notions of evolution without need of a creator God producing such life are not mutually inclusive, in spite of what the evolutionists may argue.
I believe God plans for and creates all life whether on Earth or on other planets we may not know about. Yet we can only speculate a yea or nay as to such life on other worlds;we simply don’t know.
Even if life were found on Mars or any other planet, it doesn’t prove an evolutionary model for the evolutionists so invested in such delusion. To me it means God has invested time to create a life form suited to the harsh conditions of said planet. That would be a wondrous thing to me!
Fungi feed on dead, decaying, or sometimes living organic material. They don’t photosynthesize. So for fungi to exist, there would at least need to be plants.
Alien fungus amongus.
Why do so many people need to pretend they know things they don’t know?
The scientists do it.
The religious believers do it.
What is so hard about just admitting you don’t know?
Agree. Although I think the ‘need’ to believe exists across all sorts of people, not just those on the Left.
Eg, just a few days ago I was having a back and forth with someone who (genuinely) believes COVID doesn’t exist. Right here on FR. What began with him not wanting to be vaccinated (a personal choice) devolved into him claiming people who were vaccinated could harm his health somehow, and then ended up with him claiming COVID is fake and doesn’t exist. And he was quoting people who included one person who has claimed reptilian-human hybrids exist as a source for covid being fake, and another person who has written three digital books on woo-woo nonsense (eg exit the matrix, altered states and magic, etc). He probably didn’t know his sources were known kooks, but still.
Here on FR.
And don’t get me started on some female FReeper (that I do respect but) who still believes President Trump is still in control, still has access to the nuclear football, and still has full presidential authority. At least, she did late March. Maybe now she’s come to the realization the conspiracy was fake.
Anyway - the ‘need to believe’ will affect both sides.
I think the main difference though is that the idiots (sorry, factual) on our side are mostly harmless who at most can only injure themselves. For the most part they don’t force others to believe their crap. Sure, they may try to do so on online forums, but that’s a weak and often ineffective effort. Eg, someone claiming ‘COVID is not real’ will hardly convert even one person to that line of thinking unless the person believed so to begin with.
The Liberal version though is scary. It’s the one thing they do very well …turning their conspiracies into legislative action. They believe in some concept, and then try to turn it into law. Eg their efforts to ban gasoline vehicles, action on climate change, their various proposals on gun control even though it would only hinder law abiding people from firearms and do nothing to actual criminals, etc etc.
The Left really knows how to convert their conspiracies into law. That’s one of the very few things they know to do well.
For our side, it’s mostly on forums and believe plans that obviously didn’t happen.
There are no guys on Mars, much less fungis.
If there are fungi upon Mars, they aren’t necessarily native stock. A lot of hardware has landed in five decades.
