My rent for three 10 x 12’ rooms as a subtenant in an office building near Dupont Circle in downtown DC was $1,350; in 1992. I’d hate to know what real estate rents for downtown DC these days.
A two bedroom apartment in a nice high rise building near a Metro station in Alexandria rented for $2,500.00 per month about 10 years ago.
I wonder if they have a thing going on too. I can hear Kevin singing that song, but with different names. 8>)

My nephew works for the federal govt in DC as a contractor, and makes million+ every year. He just bought a ocean front house in St Petersburg for $1.5 Million as a vacation home! His main abode near DC is bigger and he owns a Ferrari, a brand new boat 40 footer $285k, 1/3 owner in a 6 passenger jet plane. No wonder prices in DC are sky high. Government has lots of our money to spend.

35 years ago, I was a security supervisor for a utility in Anacostia. I learned to stay in the shadows real quick. Us melanin-deficient types stand out in the dark, especially in a uniform.

Frank Luntz's is a creepy con artist, that performs illusions, claiming to poll people after he hypnotizes a captive audience .... Once Kevin's spokeswoman LIED about the arrangement, off bets are OFF ... It looks nasty ... and the optics are what they are...

Across the river in Arlington (at least in 2010), $1,500 would pay for a plain studio apartment (unfurnished) of about 650 square feet (utilities included).
