"After hiking to the viewing area for the volcano and photographing for more than an hour, I packed my tripod but then noticed a tornado forming over the lava flow, luckily I caught it on video".
Rb: What Sigfús Steindórsson is trying to say here is a whirlwind formed over the lava flow. Very cool at higher resolution as embers are spraying everywhere.

Amazing. The really big fireworks seem to go off during the first few seconds of each eruption.

A bit of 4th of July to it, sparklers and snakes and pyro cones!
Or, a good illustration of the judgement of the damned and the burning lake of fire.
Happily, being a Christian, I can enjoy it for the festive puffs of pumice and lava bombs stripped off the burning surface!
(It is a good video and I am glad Sigfús took it. I think it has good information for vocanologists to study!)
