CCTV footage captured the moment the floor of the 75ft-long pool suddenly gave way, sending water flooding into the car park below, along with debris from the shattered base.
Luckily no injuries were reported following the terrifying incident in Vila Velha, in the southeastern state of Espirito Santo, on April 22. But 270 people had to leave their homes in the condominium and could not return for five days while a team of engineers carried out safety checks.

Yieks. I’ve been on a roof top pool before in Dubai. So much fun. Usually a bar with drinking and music. Gladly this didn’t happen. Lol.

Dang. Not just a failure, but a total failure of the entire bottom of the pool.

Article said it was 75 ft long. Guessing 12 ft wide by 5 ft deep, the water would weigh around 280,000 llb.

"Architect" = "arch builder".
S.O.P. for a newly-completed arch was to require the architect to stand underneath it as the structural supports were taken away. If it failed, he never built another.
