State Rep. Alma Hernandez of Tucson said in a press release Wednesday that she was fully vaccinated 11 weeks ago, still wore a mask when out and practiced social distancing and good hygiene but had become ill with the coronavirus anyway.

Blocks 94% of asymptomatic COVID-19 infections and 97% of symptomatic infections. That’s pretty good. The smallpox vaccine is 95% effective and that was good enough to wipe smallpox off the face of the Earth.
