No one understood the dynamics of ideological persecution and the failure of society better than German pastor Martin Niemoller.
In his famous post-World War II confessional speech, he said (in paraphrase): “First they came for the communists, and I did not speak out, because I was not a communist. Then they came for the socialists, then the trade unionists, and I did not speak out, because I was not a socialist nor a trade unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out, because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me, and there was no one left to speak for me.”
Jump 80 years forward, and ask yourself this: After “canceling” one literary, musical, artistic, and theatrical classic after another, will be anybody left to speak for the Bible when the “woke” movement inevitably goes after the canonic text of Jewish (and Christian) civilization?
After all, isn’t there slavery in the Bible, alongside discrimination against women, the handicapped, and non-Jews? Isn’t there intolerance of gender-fluid identities and racism regarding certain nations? The Bible even calls for genocide against the seven Canaanite nations, and Amalek!
So why shouldn’t the small group of “intellectuals,” “progressives,” and radical kings-and-queens who rule today’s “cancel culture” approach the Bible censoriously too? What would better amplify their (illusion of) power than twitter-shaming all Bible-believers, or even burning entire chapters of that “culturally offensive” book?
In their power game, nothing is sacred (except for progressive political correctness itself) and nothing is immune from their “enlightened” rampage.

On top of being anti-lgbt, the Bible is also against socialism. “If you do not work, you shall not eat.” Can’t have things like that and be a democrat.

Atheist Marxists do not have to read the Bible. No one says they must. What they really yearn to do is delete any vestige of JudeoChristian ethics from anywhere in the culture, and from the earth. These MaxoMarxtists cannot countenance anything less than exclusive religious worship of themselves and their racist, anti human doctrine, by everyone else!

They will try to prove you (and God) wrong. They have the money, the power and motivation to outlaw the Bible. We may not see it in our lifetime but at the speed of which things happen, who knows? The globalist elite are very anti-God. Revelations indicates a large population decrease will happen in the last days. We will see interesting times before we pass.
They have already threatened to cancel it in California.
It’s already started, but I expect the main attack is rewriting and falsification.
Book of Eli days are fast approaching
The Bible has been on the Cancel Culture’s hit list since before Antiochus IV Epiphanes ordered it destroyed. He failed.
Then the Caesars tried to destroy it.
The moslems tried to supplant it with their ravings of an epileptic pedophile caravan raider. They failed.
During WW II, this poster, we knew the Enemy was the arm holding the bayonet. Today the “Enemy” is the book.
They took the Bible out of schools. Conservatives kept sending their children to those schools. We have no one to blame but ourselves.
The public schools barely teach children to read. What better way to cancel the Bible than through illiteracy? And conservatives say, “but my public school is not like all the others.” Yes, I see, they are all above average.

It depends.
People who expect the Bible to be the central point of reference for morality, legality or public standards of right and wrong are going to scream ‘Cancel Culture’ or the like. But some people consider anything other than a government and society founded explicitly on the Bible to be some sort of atheistic dystopia and sign of the imminent Apocalypse.
It’s one of several sources that people in today’s society use for moral guidance, but that’s it; expecting it to hold a greater place than any other Book in anything other than one’s own life is futile and delusional.
What a great and special film!
Denzel Washington is a wonderful actor.
He’s also a very smart guy.
And a strong Christian.
The Bible’s teachings are already illegal in Canada, where people are in prison for espousing all of it.
