Minneapolis will be getting a woke police force if changes in police recruiting are rammed through the city government.
Due to defunding, retirements, resignations, removal of qualified immunity, aggressive DA actions and police demoralization, recruiting for new police has been very difficult.
The city is now considering a radical new plan to recruit ANTIFA and BLM members into the police force. There is an immediate advantage as these people are woke and will be welcomed by the communities. Additionally, since they are woke, there will be no violent confrontations with their former looter and rioter fellows. The DA's job will be much easier because there will be no need for qualified immunity or kangaroo courts since no police will be charged.
City officials are expecting a huge drop in arrests for murder, robbery, rape, assaults and other violent crimes as woke police will be able to mitigate offences using Social Justice Warrior proven methods and tactics.
This is how you get a win - win situation in a great Progressive city.

The remaining police force will be fit only for guarding the political authorities and persecuting their opponents. Crime statistics will simply be fake numbers made to calm the residents.
