Gracie Laney thought she was going to win her heat in the 4x200 meter relay last weekend in Logan, Utah.
The Logan High School senior was all alone in the final stretch on the track while anchoring her relay team. The win was hers.
What she didn’t account for, however, was a late entry into the race.
A dog, after breaking away from her owners who were sitting on a hill, sprinted down onto the track and quickly claimed the race for herself in hilarious fashion.

I had a bloody nose last night.
Usually, that’s because I’ve said something that one of the neighbors took personally. I can’t help it if Steve looks like Gollum.
In this case, it was just a regular nose bleed. Probably brought on by the rat poison the VA makes me take to, I don’t know, kill the rats in my throat.
I didn’t get all the blood washed off.
The Little Dog jumped up on my lap and started licking some of the leftover blood off my hand.
I guess my blood must have been quiet tasty because he spent quite a lot of time making sure it was all gone.
Then, displaying an uncanny knowledge of biology, he bit me to get more tasty blood.
That’s where I drew the line.
Right on the floor.....I drew a line.
I told The Little Dog that he couldn’t cross that line.
Why oh why didn’t I hide that eraser.
Dirty little vampire dog.
They should have DQ-ed the dog for that! They took down Maximum Security (#7 horse) in the Kentucky Derby a couple of years ago for less interference than that! Lol!
Very cute.
I’m glad the girl didn’t get hurt almost tripping on the dog.
My cousin Helen and my cousin David show their synchronized swimming routine.
I wonder if the dog thought that the others were chasing the girl and so he needed to stop her. Thus the attempted tripping at the end. Or maybe a predator/prey pack behavior thing like catching the rabbit. Lol!
Lol!
Foul! Foul! Foul!
Your honor, I call foul on that dog!
He clearly set a moving screen!
There was a rabbit in that video?
I just saw the dog and the moose.
The beavers have changed these last few years.
Oh.....
Dog Hurdles.....
A new event.
Back in the late 80’s my buddy’s parents got a call that his Alaskan Malamute was showing up at the local elementary school every day stealing students lunches.
Duchess...she was a good dog.
Thanks. I never knew how to embed these videos in comments.
I used a free website that allows you to create up to 30 seconds Gifs from videos, either directly from YouTube or that you upload from your PC. You then save the finished product to your PC and upload it to an image hosting site. Then post the image here as you would any other image or photo (using the image’s url).

Thanks again.
LOL! I think somebody forgot to explain to those Corgies beforehand what they were supposed to do.
