HOLLYWOOD, Fla. — It’s a scenario straight out of “The Jetsons.” A South Florida restaurant owner is using dining-room robots for touchless, socially distanced seating and ordering.
Joy Wang, the owner of Mr. Q Crab House in Hollywood, bought three robo-staff members for $30,000, the Sun-Sentinel reported. Wang said she invested in the robotic workers because she is having difficulty filling shifts of servers and front-of-house staffers at the Cajun seafood restaurant.

"the robot greets customers with a digital eye-wink..." He'll be sued for sexual harassment undoubtedly.

Oh Yeah - the future of dining out - as few human employees as possible. Its all about the cost of staffing not-dependable humans.

As a guy who works in the technology field if you do not believe that soon robots will not replace unskilled labor, I got a bridge to sell you, it is happening.

We were already headed there pre-COVID anyway. Look at how several restaurant chains were heavily invested in electronic payment systems that operate at the table.

Guy goes into a bar and of all things there’s a robot bartender. Since the minimum wage was increased to $15 the bar owner had to replace his human bartender.
The robot says “what will you have?” The guy says “martini”. The robot brings the man the best martini ever and says “what’s your IQ?”. The man says “168”. The robot then proceeds to talk about physics, space exploration, and medical technology.
The guy then leaves but is still curious. So he turns around and returns to the bar. The robot says “what will you have?” Guy says “martini” The robot again makes the best martini ever and say “what’s your IQ?” The guy says “100”. The robot then talks about NASCAR, Budweiser and John Deere tractors.
The guy leaves but is even more interested so he returns yet again. “What will you have?” A “martini” guy says and the robot makes yet another great martini. “What’s your IQ?” says the robot. The guys say “oh, about 50”.
The robot leans in real close and says “so, you people still happy you voted for biden?”

...and so it began.
Within a decade, robots swept through one industry after another, dramatically dropping costs, and changing the nature of human work forever.

You’re forgetting that Bender would drink all of the booze before it got to you.
