Herpes infections may be a side effect of a COVID-19 vaccine, experts have revealed.
Scientists in Israel identified six cases in a new study of patients developing a skin rash known as herpes zoster — or shingles — after receiving the Pfizer vaccine, according to a study in the Rheumatology journal.
Herpes zoster starts off as a small, itchy skin rash, but if left untreated, it could cause nerve damage and pain, the Jerusalem Post reported. This can include a prolonged burning sensation on the skin even after the rash disappears.

I appreciate the link!
From that link:
“All but one patient received antiviral treatment with a resolution of HZ-related symptoms up to 6 weeks. Five patients completed the second vaccine dose without other adverse effects.”
So out of a tiny group of under 500, 5 people developed a minor infection and 1 developed a slightly worse infection. No link to the vaccine is established at this time. No linger effects for any of them. No indication that out of the other ~600 million people who’ve gotten a dose of a COVID-19 vaccine that shingles or other similar AIIRD has been an issue. This seems like a very minor issue if it’s even a vaccine related issue at all.
“seriously, there has to be more shingles than that in the normal population”
*****************************************************************
Yep, more BS. Following is relevant information from Israel.
“...Incidence density rate of HZ was 3.46 per 1000 person-years in the total population and 12.8 per 1000 person-years in immune-compromised patients....”

Perhaps some effort ought to be made to keep the God and humanity
hating types out of the vaccine business, along with any Chinese CCP
agent scientists.
The opportunity for global insult and injury by an evil few that would love
to insert HIV, Herpies, Aborted Baby Stem Cells, clever population control
MRNA coding, or the devil knows what else, into the general population,
is real.

As per tradition, I see that many FReepers only read the headline -— it’s herpes ZOSTER -— shingles, NOT herpes genitalis.
There a hundreds of prescription drugs on the market that screw with the immune system and increase the risk of shingles.
I would bet you a good dinner that 90% of the people blithely getting vaccinated don't realize they are in a drug trial study, the largest one ever conducted.
This is no where near the worst news. Deaths, paralization, anaphlaxis, fetal miscarrages, blood clots, heart attacks and strokes have all been reported with theses vaccines.
Apparently the nominal rate is something like 3 cases per 100,000 for adults under 70. So 6 out of 491 is a significant increase.
I had this shoulder rash after about my second day post Pfizer 1st shot.
There was zero pain. It did itch a lot, and my RN Wife applied an OTC steroid Cream with aloe for a couple of days. Then, the rash went away.
I wanna know if any of the people who have felt the need to announce to the world that they got the jab,
Will they likewise announce to the world that they got herpes?
A vaccine that stresses the immune system can cause the varicella zoster virus to erupt.
There have been zero deaths causally linked with any COVID-19 vaccine in the US or the UK to date.
The rare instances of anaphylaxis (about 1 in 90,000 with Pfizer and 1 in 400,000 with Moderna) are primarily found in people who have a history of severe allergies (i.e. people who carry EpiPens with them everywhere they go) and those reactions are quickly resolved with a shot of epinephrine.
The rate of miscarriage for women who get vaccinated during pregnancy is LOWER than the normal background rate, as is the rate of neonatal death. (https://www.acog.org/clinical/clinical-guidance/practice-advisory/articles/2020/12/vaccinating-pregnant-and-lactating-patients-against-covid-19)
I have no data showing any demonstrated link between any heart attacks or strokes and any COVID-19 vaccine.
There have been 6 cases of blood clots - all among women - with the J&J vaccine out of just under 8 million doses given. 6 out of 8 million is 1 in 1.3 million. The risk of blood clots in women for certain hormonal birth control pills (which are FDA approved) is 1 in 1,000.
So much fearmongering. If the vaccines were so dangerous, then the 130 million Americans who’ve had them would have had major issues. If 1% died, we’d have 1.3 million dead bodies from vaccines. News flash: we don’t. Zero deaths have been attributed to a vaccine. That includes Hank Aaron, who the anti-vaxxers claimed was killed by the vaccine, but the medical examiner actually investigating his death stated that the cause of death was natural causes consistent with his medical history and that there was no evidence of any vaccine reaction (https://www.wrcbtv.com/story/43231092/hank-aarons-cause-of-death-natural-medical-examiner-says).
The trouble with all this fearmongering is that there’s observable reality standing in the way.
Shingles is the least harmful adverse effect connected to the Pfizer vaccine. Sticky platelets forming blockages of vessels and a low number of free platelets to stop hemorrhage are more serious adverse effects. I had to take 2 Pfizer shots 3 weeks apart because of the kind of work I do. It was mandated.
If it hadn’t been mandated, I would not have done it. I would not be in hurry to get vaccinated. Period.
130 million Americans have gotten a total of 212 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines in America. Still waiting for the promised horror show of deaths and deformations.
So far, nothing. Sore arms and headaches. Oh no.
There are many different types of Herpes (Zoster) Virus.
Chicken Pox, Shingles, Bell’s Palsy, “Cold Sore”, and of course the dreaded Genital Herpes.
The article is referencing the Shingles Type of Zoster (Herpes).
LOL!

Good thing you aren’t an Admin! Stifling free speech?
Not at all; people are free to spread all the lies, misinformation, and half truths they like, unless and until Jim decides otherwise.
But that also leaves me free to counter the fearmongering nonsense by providing factual information with links to authoritative sources backing it up. Those choosing to spread lies and fear shouldn’t worry about me or even Jim. They’ve got God to deal with.
