Hank Nazria, the actor who played Apu in the Simpsons, wants to apologize to "every Indian." Here's why this Indian does not appreciate his unseemly groveling.
Groveling is what woke people do. It’s their natural response.
If he’s so distraught about it lets see Hank give back all the money he made over the decades off of his Indian character, I wouldn’t but I’m not ‘woke”.
How else can they signal their moral superiority without actually doing anything?
Since I read his book “What’s So Great About America” I have enjoyed listening to Dinesh D’Souza.
He is a real fighter for conservatism. I enjoyed that video...thanks for the link.
D’nesh D’Sousa is a Christian. 2% of India is Christian.
2+ percent or an estimated 28,000,000.
That is the state of TEXAS. Amazing to consider.

He should apologize for not playing them as they actually are (at least with the Indian recruiters and hiring managers and work visa holders in the USA).
Unqualified, racist, castist, lying, cheating, lacking personal hygiene with the superiority complex from hell. Nothing kind-hearted and hard-working once they are in charge.
Ping!

Nothing wrong with Apu’s character.
I went to a party once some years back, and there were a couple of German guys there having a good time, and we all began to talk about foreign accents...none of which anyone knew the languages, but how it SOUNDED to them. That is, they didn’t do English with an accent, just gobbledygook.
One guy did an imitation of a German accent which was completely stupid and the German guys howled with laughter, and someone else did a Swedish accent that had a musical yodeling with the stress on they “y” at the beginning of each word as in “Yeeder yader, yader, yodder” quality to it.
Then one of the German guys said in his accented English: This is how we make fun of American accents in Germany:
“ARF ARF ARF ARF ARF!” accompanied by vigorous motion of the head and jaw! We all fell out on the floor in hysterics on that one!
I think Dinesh D’Souza has it right when he said the outrage is attributable to a feeling of insecurity or inferiority. People can’t take a joke any more.
Nathan Lane gave an interview earlier this year that he was pre-production on a sequel to BirdCage where he and Agador Spartacus go to Guatemala and look for Agador's mother.
Lane called Azaria and Hank freakwoked:
"I can’t possibly play the part again. People would go crazy. I have one word for you: Apu."
Nathan is only 'woke' inasmuch is Agador is a homo, but is non-plussed about Azaria playing a migra.
Well, apparently they are throwing script changes at Azaria to get him to commit and this is his way of telling Nathan that Agador is not happening.
“Why isn’t Apu on The Simpsons anymore?”
“He had to go back.”
Thanks for the link. I gotta mention, I did not come here with intention of becoming a US citizen, and the reason I stayed here after my master’s degree in engineering was because the company where I was allowed to work for maximum 18 months on a student visa wanted me to stay in the job permanently and sponsored me for green card. I adopted the American culture 100% and married an American woman. All great decisions looking back.
No kidding...who hasn’t been poked at. Dish it back or ignore it.
That brings respect, in my eyes.
A lot of these Simpsons people saw themselves as the snarky guys at he back of the class room grown up and pointing to hypocrisy and general stupidity. Now they’re the saddest grovelers anyone can even imagine. They who once reveled in irreverence...just wow...
