Bernie Madoff, whose $65 billion Ponzi scheme made him one of the world’s most hated criminals and destroyed even his own family, died Wednesday at the secure federal medical center in Butner, North Carolina, where he was serving a 150-year prison sentence, according to prison officials.
The Associated Press reported the 82-year-old scam king, who had been suffering from end-stage kidney disease and other chronic ailments, died of natural causes.
Madoff would have turned 83 on April 29.
His epic stock fraud, which came to light amid the global financial crisis of the late 2000s and remains the biggest in Wall Street history, left more than 37,000 victims in 136 countries in its wake.
Burned investors ranged from retirees who entrusted him with their lives’ savings to celebrities such as Hollywood power couple Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick, former Disney studio chief Jeffrey Katzenberg and legendary baseball Hall of Famer Sandy Koufax.

No real read on Madoff’s wife honestly. There’s women who are happy to have lots of money to spend and do their daily living in their own reality.
She may have a fund that was set aside with funds peeled off. I would imagine Madoff knew the risk and set that up for a “rainy day.”
He would explain nothing and just say, here it is. “Don’t touch it. Don’t tell anyone about it but if anything happens....”

He thought he was winning at life but he failed spectacularly.

The medical term “natural causes” refers to any death that was not by violence or accident. Dying from cancer, heart attack, stroke, liver disease, etc. are all considered “natural causes”. It’s to distinguish deaths that were not murder, suicide or some violent event such as a car crash.
Good riddance to bad rubbish.

The biggest scam in history is when Biden and his gang stole America. Now they are ripping off the rest of the world by spending so much money it can never be repaid. Anybody foolish enough to lend money to Joseph Stolen’s Junta almost deserves to get burned.
