Julian Edelman was a dog for the Patriots for years. ‘Wes Welker 2.0’ retires with 620 receptions for 6822 receiving yards and 36 touchdowns. Edelman was a three-time Super Bowl champion and Super Bowl LIII MVP. He was the last crucial position player from the dynasty left in New England. With the dynasty officially over how will the team respond?
I so enjoyed watching him play. He played 100% all the time, even in pre-season.
Crazy.
When I heard that he preferred the nickname “Squirrel” I thought...that was just so spot on. Squirrel.
Crazy.
I loved watching Welker play. Welker had talent, and he had guts.
But watching Edelman play...he had a sharp edge to him that I didn’t see in Welker...it was as if every single play and every single catch was a middle finger to someone...his old coaches, his opponents, his doubters, his critics...he had a chip on his shoulder, and never ever seemed to take his position on the team for granted.
And the thing that sticks out most to me is...when he was in big games, that was when he came up biggest and played above his level.
Rare indeed. I got a lot of enjoyment watching him play.
I'm convinced that if Tom Brady played for a team other than the Patriots, he would have at least 10 Super Bowl VICTORIES at this point in his career. And probably 15 appearances.
Not that I really care that much anymore. I haven't watched football for a few years now. But I know of Brady's latest SB victory with the Buccaneers this past February (1st year away from the Pats) and wish him well.
All these years I’ve believed he was Jewish!...................
Heavyweight champion Max Baer?
"Fred Biletnikov 3.0"... Back when they used to play "football"...
In his prime perhaps the most unhittable pitcher ever.
You seem focused on water sports, which isn’t a surprise given your screen name. ;p
Gronk gives him a “69% chance” of joining the Bucs, personally, I doubt it.
Both good points. Belichick already walks around looking like hasn’t taken a good crap in 20 years. Edelman retiring might cause him to pop an embolism. Then again, if he joined Brady and Gronk in Tampa, I say he’ll commit seppuku at the 50 yard line. Live, on MNF.
Congratulations to Julian Edelman on a great career. He made the most out of his talent. And good luck to him in his next adventures.
What about Hank Greenburg? Steve Stone? No argument with Koufax as Number 1.
First time I've heard that Lou Gehrig was Jewish. I think that's wrong.
Yes, I just found out. All these 60+ years I thought he was Jewish!.......................

Failed physicals have a tendency to happen no matter which team you want to play for. He is leaving the Pats because of a failed physical.
black racists, White / jewish leftists galore’s response: WHEW!!!! ONE LESS WHITEY IN THE NFL!!!! THANK YOU SATAN!!!!
Gronk just wanted people to repeat “69% chance” in the news...
Don’t forget Gordie Lockbaum
