2017 article, but some things bear repeating. Frequently.

I worked at a well-known newspaper for quite a few years in the 80s and 90s. I can verify that all of these points are true.

It takes a special kind of reptilian loser to get involved in TV and MSM “journalism” today.
I’m sure most of them are clinical psychopaths by APA standards as well.

“””Journalists’ brains show a lower-than-average level of executive functioning”””
And their brains were in that sad state of function long before they went to journalism school.
To: ameribbean expat
"Journalists' brains show a lower-than-average level of executive functioning, according to a new study, which means they have a below-average ability to regulate their emotions, suppress biases, solve complex problems, switch between tasks, and show creative and flexible thinking."
We didn't need a study to suspect that.

I beg to differ.
Journalists are the most intelligent and eloquent pond scum I’ve ever seen.

I recall Conrad Black’s comment that he found the majority of journalists to be lazy, ignorant, opinionated, and intellectually dishonest.

They needed a STUDY for this?
Where do we apply for funding for such studies? Easy money!

How much intelligence does it take to cut & paste the DNC talking points memo that gets passed around every morning into your “news” story? You don’t even need to alter the exact phrasing being given. In fact it’s discouraged.

I majored in journalism for a couple of years back in my college days. Then I discovered I was pretty good in math and switched to economics.
The main concerns of your average journalism student are (1)pushing the leftist agenda, (2)getting drunk and (3)getting laid.
In roughly that order. I saw it up close.

No surprises there. Jeez, they have to write at best on a 6th grade level. They have zero math skills. Which also means they have zero logic.
