At the end of my last column for SteynOnline, I asked: "What can patriots do to retake their beloved nation?"
Space permits only a few quick thoughts today. I hope to add more in the future, but just for starters:
We could do worse than getting to know our enemy. Not just know them, but really get inside their heads to understand where they're coming from, and why.
This is what I see.
The strange figures known as Wokists currently destroying America aren't just reprises of earlier enemies. They represent something rather new. The political cult of Wokism combines the worst aspects of every political cult in history.
Whether they realize it or not, Wokists themselves combine the lunatic loyalty of the Manson family with the hollow pseudo-joy of Jonestown residents, the racism of National Socialists, the inhumanity of Mao Tse-Tung, the bratty tantrums of Veruca Salt, the nihilism of Bakunin-style anarchists, the totalitarianism of Stalin's Soviet Union, the child torture and sacrifice of the Mayans, the derangement of Heaven's Gate followers, the sadistic violence of the Jacobins, and the ruthless control-freakism of the current Chinese Communist Party.
Now add to that noxious syncretic blend the Wokist use of powerful communication technologies to shape narratives and meta-narratives, destroy opponents, and recruit new converts, and you've got yourself a thing.
Through it all, a counterfeit moral imperative with a deceptively appealing name ("social justice") drives the cult. That counterfeit imperative casts all existence as one great battle between Good (Wokism) and Evil (everything that is not Woke). It denies any constraints on efforts to win that battle. It entails an obsessive totalitarianism. It forbids critical self-examination of itself. Adherents of the cult are Knowers of the One True Truth. They are crusaders in righteous battle.

The Social Justice Warriors are the useful idiots. The Globalists are the wannabe tyrants(pick your favorite).
The Globalists say to the SJWs, “Hey, we are woke, too. We are allies in the fight against the opposition. We can help you destroy them.”
Once the mission is accomplished and a one world tyrannical govt is installed, the SJWs finally realize that they are slaves to the New World Order and they will be disposed of too if they dissent.

Super computers, and databases at the fingertips of unethical humans, are the difference, IMHO. In centuries past, most occupations developed trade associations over time, with ethical rules imposed on the members. Databases have grown so quickly in society that ethics have gotten short shrift. The information the data provides is a drug to people are in a position to control it and impose control on others by using it. Ethics be damned. Privacy? How quaint.

I suggest your opinion is anything but an opinion. Literal fact would be more like the reality.
...but, I might be inclined to disagree with your comment on Biblical righteousness as the first priority. I don’t think the woke would in reality recognize righteousness anymore than the multitudes recognized the Bread of life in the sixth chapter of John.
They were literally and figuratively fed by the Son of God, and failed to recognize either him or the Father that sent him or the represented real righteousness of the sinless one. The wokeism of the time was the recognition by the Jewish government that said Jesus, was the enemy to their fiefdom and control over the people.
In the course of time, that recognition spread among the people allowing to take place what in reality, desperately needed to take place, the crucifixion of the only begotten Son of God by the very people he was sent to save. They crucified their King and Redeemer. No pun to your screen name intended.

Human nature is what it is, and there are those who choose righteously, and those who choose otherwise for whatever reasons. If you have what it takes to move mountains and influence people, there are but two paths to follow. One leads to salvation and eternal life, the other to destruction and death.
Choose wisely.
So why do you think that Biblical righteousness (as compared to self-righteousness which is a "woke" attitude) would not be the prime target of those who wish to cancel out the basis of traditional American laws and acceptable behavior?
I'm interested in your explanation and ranking system.
