You might want to take a peek at the site: Academy of Ideas ( https://academyofideas.com/ ). I spotted this when one of their late Feb YouTube videos popped up : Is a Mass Psychosis the Greatest Threat to Humanity?. According to Carl Jung, there is a resounding “yes” answer to that question. Mind, Cjung is oft-quoted by Jordan Peterson and seems to contribute a philosophical basis for some of his positions. It was surprising that YouTube would allow a video that clearly condemns the collectivist “philosophies” of the 20th century like those implemented by Nazi Germany, Soviet Union, Nkorea, China, Cambodia, etc. They have been pretty thorough of late in purging any information that disagrees with their political position. Anyhoo, what caught my eye was this quote: “. . .the totalitarian systems of the 20th century represent a kind of collective psychosis. Whether gradually or suddenly, reason and common human decency are no longer possible in such a system: there is only a pervasive atmosphere of terror, and a projection of “the enemy,” imagined to be “in our midst.” Thus society turns on itself, urged on by the ruling authorities.” Ooh, an enemy in our midst. I wonder who that could be in today’s America? Someone quite pale of skin, I suggest. Anytime one of “them” speaks out the first response from the ruling authorities is “racist!”. As to how this can come about in a population there is this: “A population first needs to be induced into a state of intense fear or anxiety by threats real, imagined, or fabricated and once in a state of panic the door is open for either the positive or negative reaction to unfold. If a society is composed of self-reliant, resilient and inwardly strong individuals a positive reaction can take place, but if it is composed of mainly weak, insecure and helpless individuals a descent into the delusions of a mass psychosis becomes a real possibility.” All in all, the video is kinda dry. But, there is supposed to be a series. I hope to catch them all.

When I look at the faces of the hate mongers in this country today, I believe I’m looking at the face of a demon possessed person. Doesn’t matter what race, race baiter, gender, political party or ultra left or right organization they belong to.
Dude!
Paragraphs are your friend.
Eleven (11) sentences, and you can’t read it. I have seen paragraphs that are longer than 11 sentences. 8>)
Nazi Germany wasn’t the first to introduce a whole class of people that would serve as a scapegoat and a distraction and a way to focus the population’s antagonism. The Democrats today are following that very example.
Older folks and the internet ask you to break blocks of text up in to 2-3 line chunks else it becomes a blur and therefore unreadable - text on screens is not the same as text in books to the eye. And I read Finnegan’s Wake too which is run-on text for pages in a book. Computer screens are different to the eye as they flicker and often have poor choices of fonts.
“The Democrats today are following that very example.”
My Grandfather went through the Russian Revolution. He told me that as the Bolsheviks were coming on to their farm to take everything they had, they were yelling “For The People!”
Sound familiar?
Thanks for the link to this excellent little video. So timely and relevant, of course.
So true! I read a lot of old books and the sentences were much, much longer and I’ve seen many that looked not much different than this, lengthwise.
They (democrats) may find it vastly more difficult then the nazi did.. I mean, considering in 1933 the Jews were less then 1% of the population in Germany..

I have a restricted driver's license that stipulates I can only drive during daylight hours, no nighttime driving.
It might not have been ideal, however, it was still readable.
Good for you, but there are best practices that are supposed to be followed when posting txt to the web. The idea is to make txt **easily** readable, not borderline readable. Nothing to do with ‘ideal’. You are a minority of one on this issue and seem to be trolling. So end it.
