(Ithaca, NY) –WHCU Radio in Ithaca, NY will start airing the Dennis Prager Show weekdays Noon- 3pm starting today.
“We polled our listeners on a Rush Limbaugh replacement show over the past month, and Prager was their top choice. While they know that Rush’s show was great, they also understand that radio is best as a live, topical medium and that running repeats of Rush segments was not what they ultimately wanted to listen to” said Joe Salzone, News Director.
The Dennis Prager radio show has been nationally syndicated since 1999. Prager’s show is currently heard on over 300 radio stations and has been increasing steadily since the death of Rush Limbaugh on February 17th. In addition to the radio show, Prager founded Prager University, an American non-profit organization that creates videos on various political, economic, and philosophical topics from a conservative perspective. These videos have been extremely popular on college campuses and in university discussions with over 2 billion views.
“Dennis will be a good fit for WHCU. He is intelligent, educated, and will bring those assets to the regional airwaves,” Said operations Manager Chris Allinger. “Replacing a legend like Rush is not easy, but Dennis has been successfully doing his nationally syndicated weekday show in the exact same time period for over 20 years, so his track record is already proven.”

NO
Guide host Todd Herman pkaying old Rush clips every 10 minutes is not what people want to listen to? Who would have thunk it?
*playing
Prager is excellent.
He is a philosopher, a serious person and a consistent Conservative.
I happen to like Prager, but he is a bit too low key to listen to, IMO
I loved Rush and can’t listen to the repeats....................
YES.
Prager is a solid conservative and very erudite. However, he’s all doom and gloom whereas Rush was optimistic and humorous.
No matter who becomes the new host, I, for one, would STILL like to hear, ‘Rush Clips’ every once in a while - especially when what he had to say coincides with whatever dumb@ssery the Socialist Democrats are currently trying cram down America’s collective throat!
Rush was always a few steps ahead of them, and always called them out. We still NEED to hear his voice on a somewhat regular basis. Forever.
I have no opinion on Prager as host, either way.
I believe Rush himself once said that there's nothing older than yesterday's news.
I love Dennis Prager. He will be a great replacement.
No one can be Rush ... Rush is gone, but we are addicted to those three hours.
If we never get a good replacement, let's keep trying and recognize that if the end is now ... let's pull up our big boy and girl pants and move along.
America can no longer afford to wallow in "woe is me".
We'd better develop SOME kind of will to kill because in case you haven't noticed, they're running all over us, back and forth and we're still trying to say, "Is THAT all you got ?"
No ... they have more and a lot of support to keep pokin' us ...
I, for one, would STILL like to hear, ‘Rush Clips’ every once in a while
Every once in a while is the key. When you get hit with the clips, bam, bam, bam, for the whole show it is too much
Rush was the best talk show host ever, and there will never be one who will outdo him. But the show has become like a real-life version of Weekend at Bernies. I would much rather simply listen to repeats of his show, the way I occasionally watch old movies, or repeats of Perry Mason or Gunsmoke.
Agreed. I haven’t listened for the past few weeks.
I have, however, been watching Aaron Rodgers’ hosting of ‘Jeopardy!’ this week and he’s been doing a good job.
He needs to come out of the closet, though. Chuckle. ;)
We’ll see how it goes...
Me too. Can’t believe that they’re still running these.
I can’t listen either.
Not a big Prager fan, I find him boring.
