ALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. (WPEC) — A 27-year-old teacher at Grove Park Elementary School in Florida is behind bars for soliciting and traveling to meet a 2-year-old, the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office said.
Xavier Donte Alexander, who teaches fourth grade, was arrested Thursday and will appear in court Friday morning. According to Alexander's LinkedIn profile, he's been teaching at Grove Park for six months and has been an employee for the Palm Beach County School District since 2012.
Detectives learned through an investigation that Alexander is also a babysitter on Care.com and other nanny websites, according to the sheriff's office. Detectives believe there may be more victims.

I babysat two neighbor girls. I liked the fact that I got paid to do my homework.
It’s a shame that this is the first suspicion of most people when an adult male offers child care, but so it is.
How sad. I think of my three grand daughters.... it would kill me if something like that happened to them. They would be locking me up because I’d find a way to kill the bastard
It is sickening to think that someone wants sex with a 2 year old.
It is also sickening, to think that this child’s mother, or some other allegedly responsible adult, would set up such meetings.

When I was in high school - and I wish I could recall the context as to why my dad had to bring this up - my dad told me that normal men do not like to watch children, babysit, and all of that. Men just aren’t wired that way. He was ALWAYS suspect of any adult man who wanted to be around little children. And, he was right. About a lot of things, I might add.
