Coronavirus cases continue to rise across the United States, fueling fears of a fourth wave as officials urge Americans to keep following public health measures.

-snip-

However, even as the rollout of vaccinations continues to pick up speed in the U.S., cases of coronavirus are increasing in half of states and the District of Columbia, data from Johns Hopkins shows.

Michigan is currently leading the nation in average new cases with a 14 percent rise over the past week and a 208 percent increase over the last month.

Additionally, in the Northeast, New York and New Jersey are seeing spikes in infections and stubbornly high test positivity rates.

yesterday here in Port Saint Lucie Florida I went to Millers Ale House about 2:00pm
Wore a mask until I was seated at the bar with my wife. Then took off said mask
Had two White Marlin Wit from Sailfish Brewing and some fried Mozarella sticks. There were 65 folks enjoying lunch with NO roblems.
Here in Florida you are free to come and go freely.
Cause our Governor DeSantis isn’t an egomaniac Dick.

Cases.

Like deaths, but not as severe or long-lasting.

The states with the most tyrannical governors and draconian lockdowns.

Look here

https://www.newsobserver.com/news/local/article241168731.html

7 day average for deaths is 4 - last day 1.

7 day average for hospitalizations is 1,113 - last day 1,037.

7 day average for cases is 1,863 - last day 1,370.

While you could argue that cases are increasing they have been pretty flat since a peak of 2,502 on March 4th. high of 2,250 on March 27th.

...with the biggest spikes seen in New York, New Jersey and Michigan... C'mon man! You know you mean Florida and Texas and Florida, right?

"Certainly they meant to say Florida and Texas, right?"

I agree 100%.

And last year around this time, the scare was death rate, the goal posts now moved to new coronavirus cases, new cases possibly a result of more daily tests, faulty tests, or follow the money fraud.

Patriots need to get federal and state candidates for 2022 midterm primaries to agree that states have never given feds the power to interfere with INTRAstate pandemic policy, evidenced by the following excerpts.

Where medical lockdowns are concerned for example, note the reference to unique state powers to quarantine in the New York v. Miln excerpt below, the second item in the list.

Patriots also need to work with their state lawmakers to amend their respective state constitutions to protect themselves from activist state officials who might weaponize unique state powers to deal with pandemics for political gain.

In fact, each state should ultimately take the advice of Justice Brandeis who had volunteered his "laboratories of democracy" metaphor to emphasize the unique 10th Amendment powers of the states and the people to experiment with social policy, ultimately depending on what legal majority citizen voters of each state want.

"It is one of the happy incidents of the federal system that a single courageous State may, if its citizens choose [emphasis added], serve as a laboratory; and try novel social and economic experiments without risk to the rest of the country.” —Justice Brandeis, Laboratories of democracy.

Finally, citizens need to start working with their federal lawmakers to demand the following. When the federal government accuses someone of violating one of its laws, the accused also needs to be informed of at least the common name of the constitutional clause that arguably justifies the law for further scrutiny of the constitutionality of that law, especially where our 2nd Amendment safety net is concerned.

Corrections, insights welcome.

What is considered a case? I think a case should be a positive result, symptoms, and some sort of medical guidance of treatment.

One positive result does a case make.

NY, NJ and the NE in general are vastly different than Florida and Texas. Seems like the bug loves subways, low uv, and congested cities. That’s a check for the NE in general.

Strict lockdowns contribute to these high rates. Being forced to stay inside in crowded conditions with poor ventilation and minimal exposure to fresh air and sunshine is not good for the immune system. Combine that with the stress of being forced out of work and kept from loved ones you have a perfect environment for a virus the thrive.

“Who believes this?”

Give it a few more weeks when the Brazil P-1 variant kicks in -the one that attacks the young and previously infected.

It’s out of control in Brazil and Central America and moving North.

4th wave here we come.

We had breakfast today at Micky’s. Some people had masks hanging around their necks but most were mask free. Here in PSL at the local Publix I am starting to see more people not wearing a mask but they are still the minority. Even saw a guy riding his bicycle while wearing one.

This had me shaking my head, a couple both wearing masks came into Publix. She was carrying their dog in one of those pooch pouches. Really? That cute animal licks its own butt yet you are worried about catching COVID simply from walking in a store.

Do you think the heat or humidity could have anything to do with it not being as bad in Texas and Florida.
