Biden sacrificing Harris on border.
A former head of ICE said she was the worst possible choice with her stated views supporting sanctuary cities and other policies that would make illegal immigration a defacto non-crime. She literally compared ICE to the KKK during a confirmation hearing and wants free health care and numerous benefits for illegals that even American citizens don't get. So... why?
My theory is that Biden (or far more likely, one of his handlers) fully understand that the border is THE hot-button issue of the year and possibly his presidency. If any less well-known person was tapped, the public would forget whomever it was and simply remember 'Biden failed on the border'. Simply put, Harris is the only person in his administration that people would remember and associate with the disaster and draw heat away from the president.
Even if she makes the situation worse (and she will), Biden will look comparatively better. It's ironic since that was one reason HE was chosen to make Obama seem like a Rhodes scholar in comparison. I ran this theory by a long-time liberal friend of mine. He paused and then said. "It's pretty obvious when you think about it."
So, there you go... Harris is a sacrifice. The only question is does she know it and how will she respond given that?

I believe I read that she won’t be but instead will work with Mexican president to get better control of it.
Harris has been delegated to accomplish ONE thing by the Alinksyites.
She will petition the UN to set up permanent refugee camps along our Southern Borders, after allowing conditions to get completely out of control.

Normally, a President would be held responsible for his administration's policies and decisions - regardless of whether he delegates responsibility to a VP or someone else. We are not living in normal times. Today, Biden and the democrat party are only responsible for whatever major media and tech oligarchs choose to communicate.

I don’t think so, I think he must believe she has potential and he’s trying to get her through the learning curve. He’s trying to give her bonafide qualifications since she obviously wants to run for POTUS. Nobody is going to want to vote for some a**hole who points the finger and whines about how unfair everything is every time they have a leadership challenge.
This isn’t a case of the boss shoving a job off on someone without giving them authority, he has given her authority. Everything I’ve seen tells me she is not up to the faith Biden has placed in her. Just look at her reaction, she clearly wants to always be able to run and tattle to daddy. She’s not going to lead.

I think you might have missed the “clarification” that came out. She is heading the investigation into “Why” the immigrants are coming—not the activities at the border.
Harris’ people would not allow her to be put in such a position to fail.
