Mmmmmmmm....you can almost smell the wonderful aroma of a steaming cup of coffee.

Yesterday I managed to get out to my farm. Dad loaded up the trailer with stuff for the backyard garden (including the tiller-tractor) while I disassembled one of the trellises. I managed to get the whole thing taken apart and the rebar pulled up, but ran out of muscle before I could move the hoops. They’re still laying where they fell.
I have 2 more left to take apart before I can think about tilling for this year.
The combination “winter wheat + garlic” patch is doing well. The wheat is still small, but it looks nice and green, like lawn grass. And the garlic plants were just poking their noses out of the ground.
Chicken & dog sitting this weekend. Trying to catch a Killer Coon (KC) who has gotten two chickens in the last week. One of them was Thursday night on “my watch”. First one I’ve lost chicken sitting. As Andrew Breitbart said “WAR”!!! KC got the sardines last night without getting caught - trap modifications have been made so we’ll try again tonight.
Raking/hauling more pine cones this morning, then on the mower (first time this year!) & got most of the place done, at least all the areas that were growing grass & getting “lush”. Some of the fields are still just growing onions, so they can wait.
Got run in by a T-storm around 5. Looks like showers tomorrow morning & on/off during the afternoon, so not sure what I’ll be able to do .... the list of things yet to get done is still pretty long. Pretty day until the storms came - Spring is bustin’ out all over - red buds, flowering fruit trees, daffodils, hyacinths ... staring to look like Easter time :-)
Thank you for the thread!
I received my Crimson Rhubarb Crown from Jung! Bigger and healthier than the last 2 that I received from other sources!
They died, and the leaf on this one is already starting to bulge out! (Will plant this one tomorrow next to my Victoria)
