Sorry, you'll have to copy and paste these. I don't know how else to post an .mp4 file, even to just make the darned things clickable.

I live in the Sarasota, FL area and the trees of gold are in bloom.

The bright yellow blossoms are fairly short-lived. The leaves are a problem and the tree is very weak structurally. The last hurricane destroyed one of my trees.

Blooms on Cherokee and Black Krim tomatoes(the storm scared them into production perhaps).
Also been picking asparagus this week.
Snap peas and chard are doing well

Life is good in zone 8a

Tree guy is due today to take down the ash trees I planted 35 years ago - all three - that provide the only shade for the house in late afternoon. The emerald ash borers won. It is dreary and misting, so he may not show. It is kind of dreary and misting inside the house, too. I am too old to look forward to another nice canopy taking shape there.

Sunny and cool here today. Last week proved to be spectacular for getting out in the garden. Parsley overwintered nicely and is coming on strong, crocus are blooming in a parade of white, purple, yellow and blue/whites, catnip is regenerating for the kitties.

Pulled a lot of a weedy thing(?) our of the side bed. It was spreading by rhizomes and took quite a while. I am sure I didn’t get it all. I’ll work on it as they show back up. Planted the spinach seeds and lettuce mix too.

Pulling chickweed like crazy! Good thing this darn stuff is edible. Adding it to salads and sandwich toppers.

FR post: “A bug acquired the DNA of a toxic plant, and now it’s running rampant”

https://freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/3945734/posts

“...A bug known as a whitefly received a gene from a plant, and that DNA influx... changed it... The bug has been causing massive damage to tomato, potato, and tobacco crops, as the new gene allowed it to evade protections that plants develop against these pests....

...As far as we know, ours is the first example of horizontal transfer of a functional gene from plant to animal,”...

NW Oregon,
Should my dahlia be breaking ground? I didn’t dig it up last fall. Put a large plastic pot over it to keep rain off and a little warmer. I’ve looked and nothing yet. Could be dead/drowned in spite of my efforts.

Central Missouri managed to string together a few days of sunshine this past week.

The ground is still too wet to get to the compost heap with the tractor, and it's still too wet to till the victory garden, but it isn't too wet to pick up sticks and cut grass, so that got done over the weekend. We also cleaned out the winter's accumulation of horse poo from the barn.

Wife and daughter planted a few trees. Couple each of burr oak, swamp chestnut oak, and some flowering thing that I can't remember right now.

In between doing all of that stuff I found some time to work on Mr. Clarence. Cylinder head is off and being delivered to the machine shop for an overhaul. It didn't look to be terrible, and probably would be fine to put back as-is, but it will be good to go for sure this way. There's a bit of ring groove in the cylinder bores, but no scoring, so I'm going to leave that stuff alone.

The three point lift was stuck in the raised position, and no amount of external persuasion would make it go back down, so I pulled the control module off and tore into it. Found one piece of the touch control linkage bent pretty badly. It was an easy fix to straighten that. The bigger problem is in the lift cylinder. The piston is stuck either from rust or gummed oil. I got it to move in a bit, but I need it to move all the way out so I can clean it up. The bore is blind so it can't be pressed out, and there's no way to attach a puller, so I'm ruminating on a solution. In the meantime I've got it in the wash tank soaking.

A tree fruit that needs to ‘blet’.
What interests me is that it seems to be very care-free LOL! But very expensive.
