How crazy can these people get? Crazy enough to worry about cow burps? And they imagine that it will melt the North Pole? Yep.
To: DoodleBob
I wonder how that makes the meat taste.

IIRC, there are herds of cattle on the Pacific coast of South America that eat seaweed washed up on the beach.

I tried taking a kelp supplement many years ago. Made me terribly gassy. So not believing this.

Seriously way past time we reign in these federal grant programs. Who the hell has the idea to research what types of food produce the least bovine flatulence?

Just how bat shit crazy must one be to even investigate such a thing? At taxpayer expense of course.
Did the study bother to critically monitor the overall health of the cattle fed this diet? What about the taste of the beef in comparison to the natural diet of cattle of grass and grains? My take is if God intended for cattle to eat seaweed he would have provided them a proclivity to do so.

Cattle and farm animals don’t expel that much gas.
Humans do more farting than any animal.

Seaweed-Eating Cows Burp Less Methane into Our Atmosphere And this is how manatees evolved. Coastal cows eating seaweed.
You can google it. Do we really need more manatees?

Every so often, I will buy a pack of snacking seaweed, just for the heck of it. It usually comes in thin, translucent sheets, about the size of a pack of cigarettes.
In my experience, most (processed) seaweed has a salty taste. Salty and nutty. I do it to feed myself some ‘good’ bacteria to the stomach. Some call such foods Probiotics.
Blue-Green Algae tablets became too costly.

Pretty sweet deal! I gotta eat seaweed, but I do get to hang out at the beach...

I have heard that the cows like to eat kudzu. Heck. Where ever there is a supply of food, let the cows have at it. Kudzu, sea weed. Grass, Hay, keep them healthy, provide them with an abundance of food.
