A shortage in the availability of shipping containers could lead to another toilet paper shortage.

20’ used containers are going for $1000 or less on the equipment auction sites.
The empties are not moving back fast enough to Asia.
= = =
They were treating them like empty beer cans.
Made more selling them in the US after arrival than shipping back.
My theory at the time. Now sounds like a shortage in Asia, due to materials, labor, manufacturing???
There was plenty of tp. Just not In in retail packaging. I get tp from my paper supply company. They had plenty. I didn’t understand the rush on tp but I guess it makes as much sense as anything when clowns like Fauci are running the show.
Does Keith have a lot of kids?
I was sent to China for business a decade ago. I assure you there is always a toliet paper shortage in Asia. (also a shortage of what most of us would call toliets) I was advised to take my own paper and I did not end up with a square to spare.
I’m good.
The problem is, now that they posted this as an article, people are going to read it, panic buy, and create the shortage they are predicting, and it would have nothing to do with container shortages.
Reminds me of a poem I saw fifty years ago on a restroom wall.
Here I sit among the vapor.
Some dam fool stole all the paper.
My girl is waiting I cannot linger,
Look out butt hole here comes my finger.
I remember a man building a house. When he needed to “go” and there was no toilet paper he grabbed a handfull of pink fiberglass insulation.
Bad move.
He was in the hospital for weeks.
bahahahahaha
The snowbirds do that here. They park their rigs for free overnight then take a dump on WalMarts dime. The stalls are always occupied and the atmosphere is “thick” when you go in there.
It’s Califonicate fault for letting all those trees burn up.
The containers mostly used to ship bigger items are 40’ in length. This is what my company uses to ship lumber and are in short supply
When the first shortages started last year I went to a fast food drive through. Every place usually had long lines except for the place I went to, Taco Bell. I was pondering why there was no lines there and then I had an epiphany. It was because of the TP shortage. Taco Bell wasn’t the best place to eat if you were low on TP.
Most people have to be stocked up by now. After what we went through, I would assume most people have a spare 24-pack sitting in a closet somewhere on the odd chance of another TP shortage. I mean, who would be dumb enough not to have an emergency supply tucked away somewhere by now?
After going through 8 months not being able to find TP on the shelves and Amazon being sold out of all TP, you would think most people would have learned to keep a 6-month supply of TP on hand. It is dirt cheap, weighs nothing, keeps forever, and you are going to use it eventually.
Who is not doing this?

Wondering who used all of the toilet paper
It was posted as humor. Sorry you didn’t get that. After my trip to Costco and Sams this morning I saw they had tons of paper towels and TP.
When I go to the store and see they have a new shipment in, I will take ONE package of 12. No need to be greedy. I have a couple of spare packages.
Like buying .22 ammo. Several boxes in the store, I take two. Haven’t bought ammo since the Obama shortage.
