The cult of the vaccine
American Thinker ^ | 25 Mar, 2021 | Landon Freeman

Various entities are doing all they can to entice Americans to get the coronavirus vaccine. It's a little weird.

Close your eyes and think back to a time in which you, your kids, or any other loved one received a vaccine. Chances are, the event wasn't treated as if it was some grandiose event. No, the vaccine was simply administered, and you moved on to other things. That nonchalant, non-celebratory attitude toward vaccines was an almost universally accepted outlook for decades. However, in 2021, a new precedent seems to have been set.

Indeed, with the arrival and widespread distribution of several different coronavirus vaccines, getting the vaccine has become something of a special occasion. People gleefully post photos of themselves with their vaccine cards as if they had accomplished a spectacular feat. Birthdays, weddings, baptisms, graduations, and vacations, fine — but a vaccine? That just doesn't seem right to me.

People are being misled into believing they're virtuous and brave for taking a highly experimental vaccine that was hastily conceived and is the first mRNA vaccine ever distributed. We don't know what negative effects the vaccine will have on our bodies. We don't know if there will be side-effects or the possibility of death later on. Despite this, the media, businesses, and government officials have helped create what I call the "Cult of the Vaccine."

Biden said something in some speech about “and grandchildren will be allowed to hug their grandmothers...”

My wife went ballistic. “Allowed!!?? What right do they.....” She, her mom, and our daughter get together once a week for breakfast. It was on hold for a couple of months I think when this was all new. Although it is still take out!

Landon’s overthinking this. Those pushing for max vaccinations want to get our economy and lives back to normal and want to save lives. That’s enough motivation for me to want people to get it. I don’t feel the need to control anyone.

I am not at high risk and am not “allowed” to get the vaccine yet. So it gives me more time to research. I’m on the fence, but may end up getting it. BUT - there is more research that I want to do. Below is a link and an excerpt. The part that I wonder about is how can I/we get tested to see if we might have a strong autoimmune response to the “vaccine” (a bad response).

I’ve also read that a bad response to the first shot can/will lead to a even worse response with the second shot. Make sure your doctor knows of your first response. I think that is part of the reason for the two shots. “Okay, they were fine with #1, give them #2.” Or, “Response to #1 was bad, don’t give them #2!”

https://www.nature.com/articles/nrd.2017.243#Tab1

A possible concern could be that some mRNA-based vaccine platforms induce potent type I interferon responses, which have been associated not only with inflammation but also potentially with autoimmunity.

Thus, identification of individuals at an increased risk of autoimmune reactions before mRNA vaccination may allow reasonable precautions to be taken. Another potential safety issue could derive from the presence of extracellular RNA during mRNA vaccination. Extracellular naked RNA has been shown to increase the permeability of tightly packed endothelial cells and may thus contribute to oedema.

Another study showed that extracellular RNA promoted blood coagulation and pathological thrombus formation. [The blood clotting problems with AstraZeneca?]

Safety will therefore need continued evaluation as different mRNA modalities and delivery systems are utilized for the first time in humans and are tested in larger patient populations.

*************************************

My comments again - Israel has some results from their “vaccines” that show good results of reducing the symptoms with limited side effects.

I saw an interview with General McInerney yesterday. He says don’t take the vaccine for any reason.

I’m symptom free, have never been tested, don’t wear a mask, travel frequently. I’ve been to 22 states in the past year, most of them several times. I’ve been to all kinds of so called superspreader events, including the million person crowd on January 6. Not one of those events turned out to infect people.

Earlier this morning, while going through my email, I came across a link to an article in GOVEXEC Magazine, https://www.nextgov.com/cio-briefing/2021/03/why-pandemic-experts-failed/172708/ that is titled Why Pandemic Experts Failed. I suggest anyone interested please read the entire article because there is a graph shown that in my opinion exposes a huge intentional LIE being spread concerning the severity of Covid.

Specifically in section 2, “Data are a Photograph, not a Window” four Graphs are presented claiming to be the Nationwide Metrics used by CDC, Govt, etc. While the article tries to explain “WHY” the Govt failed, they somewhat gloss over their own culpability in the presentation of the bad data set that drove bad decisions.

The article specifically says: “By late spring of last year, the COVID Tracking Project’s Peter Walker had developed a simple way to visualize the sweep of the pandemic—four bar charts, presented in a row, showing tests, cases, hospitalized patients, and deaths. This chart has since aired on dozens of local news stations, and has been used by state and federal officials to view COVID-19’s path over time. In my opinion, those four graphs, shown individually on single sheets (pages) of a presentation are bad enough. I bet, any person here with any background in Math, Science, Engineering, etc. can see the obvious LIE presented by Peter Walker when ALL FOUR graphs are shown on a single page. Unfortunately those with Liberal Arts Degrees, i.e. “The Left”, would simply not look as close as necessary. All they would see are the pretty colors.

So quickly, looking at the four graphs, as presented, they ALL seem to fill their own Y-Axis data range, top to bottom. Presentations grouped like that are not uncommon. However what is uncommon, is the presentation of four graphs side-by-side, with four vastly different Y-Axis data ranges, presented as ALL THE SAME SIZE. In short, as designed, a FAST glance at the pretty colors, could lead someone to believe that Daily Tests, Daily Cases, Hospitalizations, and Deaths are almost equal in NUMBER. Which is about as far away from the truth as someone can intentionally get.

My challenge, take ALL four graphs, and as best as you can, plot the data points for Apr, Jul, Oct, Jan, and Mar on a SINGLE Y-Axis scale from ZERO – 2.5 MILLION. Actually the March data is listed on the chart. Use bars or lines. DO NOT STACK the data. I bet your chart looks a little different, Huh?????

Sorry for not attaching my pictures and generated graph. I’m experiencing a bit of Fumb Duckery with my computer today. Hope my explanation above will help you to see what I’m talking about.

“The vaccine went through ALL the steps any and all vaccines go through.”
_________________________________________

You are mistaken.

“An Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) is a mechanism to facilitate the availability and use of medical countermeasures, including vaccines, during public health emergencies, such as the current COVID-19 pandemic. Under an EUA, FDA may allow the use of unapproved medical products, or unapproved uses of approved medical products in an emergency to diagnose, treat, or prevent serious or life-threatening diseases or conditions when certain statutory criteria have been met, including that there are no adequate, approved, and available alternatives.

From a safety perspective, FDA expects an EUA submission will include all safety data accumulated from phase 1 and 2 studies conducted with the vaccine, with an expectation that phase 3 data will include a median follow-up of at least 2-months (meaning that at least half of vaccine recipients in phase 3 clinical trials have at least 2 months of follow-up) after completion of the full vaccination regimen. In addition, FDA expects that an EUA request will include a phase 3 safety database of well over 3,000 vaccine recipients, representing a high proportion of participants enrolled in the phase 3 study, who have been followed for serious adverse events and adverse events of special interest for at least one month after completion of the full vaccination regimen.

The EUA process is different than an FDA approval or clearance. Under an EUA, in an emergency, the FDA makes a product available to the public based on the best available evidence, without waiting for all the evidence that would be needed for FDA approval or clearance.”

Why have you not gotten out, Sam?

We’ve been doing all that cyclotic has been doing, only more locally, with no problems.

Thanks for thoroughly explaining how these unproven agents have NOT passed the stringent testing, that typical vaccines do.

I’m surprised to see anyone claim this.

Even the most ardent promoters know they have not....thus, the EUA, as you have mentioned.

Beyond that, why are they trying to coerce us to get it with threats to take away our freedoms if we don’t?

There is far more to this vaccine than protecting the health of the unwashed

Precisely!

mRNA vaccines have been around for a number of years

There has been experimention with mRNA vaccines for a number of years, but none had been licensed for human use. That fact alone should raise a red flag. From Wiki:

Up until 2020, these mRNA biotech companies had poor results testing mRNA drugs for cardiovascular, metabolic and renal diseases; selected targets for cancer; and rare diseases like Crigler–Najjar syndrome, with most finding that the side-effects of mRNA insertion were too serious.[24][25] mRNA vaccines for human use have been developed and tested for the diseases rabies, Zika, cytomegalovirus, and influenza, although these mRNA vaccines have not been licensed.[26] Many large pharmaceutical companies abandoned the technology,[24] while some biotechs re-focused on the less profitable area of vaccines, where the doses would be at lower levels and side-effects reduced.[24][27]

And after literally millions of vaccinations and .0001% or fewer problems this attempted argument is empirically wrong. The vaccine went through ALL the steps any and all vaccines go through.

The critical issue is the follow-up time, not the steps. It is rare for a vaccine to be approved in under 5 years, mainly because years of monitoring test subjects for complications has been considered necessary. With the COVID vaccine, we've had months, not years of follow-up. One of the main concerns of these vaccines is triggering of autoimmune disorders. These disorders typically develop over years. Giving these vaccines emergency authorization was a calculated risk since we can't and don't know the long term effects. That's precisely why they got emergency use approval and not formal approval. Look, I sincerely hope and pray these vaccines don't cause long-term problems. But don't pretend that because we have under a year of clinical data that the vaccines have been "proven safe".

We don’t have cable tv or an antenna but I see the local 6pm news at a buddy’s house on occasion. The last time was a few weeks ago and there really wasn’t any news. It was an infomercial for the vaccine and they did the weather report/forecast. That was it. They showed kids getting the vaccine in the St Louis area. Local doctors were testing it on kids since the vaccines haven’t been tested on kids yet.

F’ing bizzaro world we live in now.

That was my first thought as well - there was no Facebook when I got the Polio vaccine...

I was very young, but still have a hazy memory of standing in line at a local High School with my parents to get that sugar cube.

"you CANNOT get a straight answer on whether or not YOUR vaccination prevents you from spreading covid to others."

It does. We have significant data coming from Israel demonstrating that it does. When you're vaccinated, you don't get COVID-19 and you don't spread COVID-19.

Maybe the anti-vaxers can hate on Trump while they are at it because we have Covid vaccines thanks to Operation Warp Speed.

and the guilt trip or shaming that you must be anti-Trump if you don't get the vaccine is part of this cult

No internet
No social media
No mobile phones
AM radio
3 (or maybe 4) television channels
