A university student has been banned from Aberdeen University's union for two weeks after saying 'Rule Britannia' during a debate on the British Army
Elizabeth Heverin, 19, received the ban after quoting the historic anthem prompted another student to complain.
Speaking to The Telegraph, Miss Heverin said: 'It feels like I’ve been prosecuted for the crime of being patriotic, it’s scary to think where freedom of speech at the university will go from here.'

There is a university in Aberdeen, South Dakota. I doubt you would get in trouble there for saying “Rule, Britannia.” You would probably just encounter blank stares. Another reason why it is good that we won our independence from Great Britain.
Love that song
Now they are woosies?
‘It’s not confined to the university.’
just look around at the sheeple wearing completely useless masks, and rethink the meaning of the term ‘freedoms...’
Used to be followed by "Britannia rules the waves"...now it's more like Britannia waives the rule"!
Oh, that’s good!
At least he did not call out; “Rule 303”.
This happened in Scotland, which is misruled by the SNP which despises the UK and just passed a hate crime bill that utterly trashed freedom of expression. Fortunately, England is governed by the Tories, and they are passing a bill that strengthens freedom of speech on campus and will require universities to respect dissenting opinions that are not woke.
Words never to be spoken again by a British politician:
“We shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender”
