Geert Vanden Bossche, PhD, DVM, is a vaccine research expert. He has a long list of companies and organizations he’s worked with on vaccine discovery and preclinical research, including GSK, Novartis, Solvay Biologicals, and Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Dr Vanden Bossche also coordinated the Ebola vaccine program at GAVI (Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization).

Apparently Del Bigtree who reviews portions of an interview with Vanden Bossche is anti-vax, but the subject of this video is the pro-vaccine industry expert/developer urging the halt of the administration of the Covid-19 vaccines.

I’ve attached the slides of the keynote that I held yesterday at the Vaccine Summit in Ohio (“Why should
current Covid-19 vaccines not be used for mass vaccination during a pandemic?”). Please do have a look
at them. The bottom-line is that I don’t see how mass vaccination campaigns would not lead to a
disastrous aggravation of the Covid-19 pandemic. However, no one else seems to realize; instead,
vaccinologists, clinicians and scientists are merely focusing on the (positive) short-term results and
impact at an individual level. Nobody seems to be looking at the consequences and risk at a human
population level (which, according to my understanding, will become manifest quite soon).
Why is nobody worried about ‘immune escape’ whereas Covid-19 has already escaped people’s innate
immunity as reflected by multiple emerging, much more infectious, viral variants (most likely due to the
global implementation of infection prevention measures)? Vaccine deployment in the ongoing mass
immunization campaigns are highly likely to further enhance (adaptive) immune escape as none of the
current vaccines will prevent replication/ transmission of viral variants. The more we use these vaccines
for immunizing people in the midst of a pandemic, the more infectious the virus will become. With
increasing infectiousness comes an increased likelihood of viral resistance to the vaccines. It's not exactly
rocket science, it’s a basic principle taught in a student’s first vaccinology class: One shouldn’t use a
prophylactic vaccine in populations exposed to high infectious pressure (which is now certainly the case
as multiple highly infectious variants are currently circulating in many parts of the world). To fully escape
selective immune pressure exerted by vaccinal antibodies, Covid-19, a highly mutable virus, only needs
to add another few mutations in its receptor-binding domain …
I am beyond worried about the disastrous impact this would have on our human ‘race’. Not only would
people lose vaccine-mediated protection but also their precious, variant-nonspecific (!), innate immunity
will be gone (this is because vaccinal antibodies outcompete natural antibodies for binding to Covid-19,
even when their affinity for the viral variant is relatively low).
I’ve alerted all responsible health and regulatory authorities, including WHO, CDC, FDA etc. and have
asked to consider my concern and to immediately open the discussion about the disastrous
consequences any further immune escape of Covid-19 would have.
I know, of course, that current mass vaccination campaigns enjoy vigorous and world-wide support from
a multitude of different parties/ stakeholders. However, unless I am proven wrong, this cannot be an
excuse for ignoring that mankind may currently be transforming a quite harmless virus into an
uncontrollable monster. I’ve never been that serious about a statement I made

Don’t cancel. It’s true that the vaccine,like every other medication ever developed (including aspirin),isn’t 1000% safe...or effective. But you have a greater chance of dying during the drive to the vaccination center than you do from the vaccine itself.

I’ve held out for the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. I’m scheduled to go to China later this year and don’t have a visa yet. If they required the China made vaccine as was reported, I will cancel.
I already had Covid-19 in January 2020. It was not that bad.

Bossche says we should not vaccinate during a pandemic. We should wait until the pandemic subsides before we vaccinate. IOW, we should sit aside the best tool we have to end the pandemic until the pandemic is over. That only makes sense to the anti-vaxxer cult members who think Vitamin D is an effective counter to CV19.

The J and J would not have the issues mentioned in this thread, right? Because it’s a traditional vaccine.
If so, why isn’t everyone waiting for the J and J?

I’m floored by all the comments on this thread that deal with side effects, effectiveness, and other subjects that are not the subject of this thread. The one “side effect” it deals with is the danger to the future of the human immune system.
But let me say this: I am still glad I had the first shot and will get the second, because I am pretty much along in years and if diseases come along that are harder to fight because of this one, I will isolate if I have to.
I understand what an emergency is. It was more important to get this thing out there at the time that it did get out there. I am glad by getting vaccinated I might have been able to slow the spread right now. It was a public-health emergency, and it’s possible some people will suffer farther on down the line. So I respect everyone’s decision, especially those who are younger than I am.

I don’t think the J and J is safe. I have to read more about it. The experts are not singling it out as safe as they advocate against getting the vaccines, and it’s likely ‘traditional vaccine’ is being applied (too) liberally here. I’ll see what I can find when I have time.

This article, written by Dr Mike Yeadon (former CSO and VP, Allergy and Respiratory Research Head with Pfizer Global R&D and co-Founder of Ziarco Pharma Ltd.) makes the point that we were falsely led to believe that there was a pandemic that constituted an emergency. There isn't sufficient risk to your health from Covid-19 to warrant the risks from the vaccines, particularly when safe, effective FDA approved drugs are available.
Dr. Yeadon suggests in his article that he expects the vaccines to be withdrawn from public use within 6 months of introduction.

I think it’s just that everyone has so much to say on the general subject of covid.
Perhaps deserving its own thread-—long, scientific, educational (especially on immune system).
Geert’s bottom line: Why and how global vaccination campaign could make pandemic much worse rather than better.
Throughout, both plead for an open debate on the subject.
