Buckingham Palace was under pressure to respond to allegations of racism within the highest echelons of the royal family following an interview with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex that threatened to have a devastating effect on the reputation of the monarchy.
In the most shocking disclosure, Harry and Meghan described how someone within the household had asked about how dark the skin tone of their baby son Archie would be – with the US chatshow host Oprah Winfrey clarifying later that neither the Queen nor the Duke of Edinburgh were behind the remark.
But the couple’s refusal to identify the family member in their damning TV interview leaves other royals open to suspicion.

Buckingham Palace does NOT need to climb in the gutter with the pity party weirdos...
If the Palace (or any long standing institution of its kind) — wants to rectify some its sins — whether generational or current in nature — they need to turn to God. I hope the Queen, as head of the Church of England, invokes her faith and commits any statement she releases to prayer.
IF the member of Royal Family in question can humbly acknowledge that racism was at the heart of questioning and not mere innocent curiosity about the genetics...then a statement should be made as such even if the name of that member is not given.
Unless the comment was unmistakably sneering or racist such as the n-word, that would be pure Thought Police persecution and would do no good whatsoever. It would just be more communist "struggle session" humiliation over a comment that Megan herself said she did not hear except at second hand from her demonstrably dumb, rebellious, immature husband with mental health issues.
In fact, because it would be exaggerated with hysterical screaming headlines as tabloid propaganda, it would be highly damaging to the health of the 54-nation Commonwealth of Nations, many of whose members are majority populations of color, and most of whose members are also U.S. allies. Causing a race row among them is precisely what Harry's anti-Christian, globalist puppeteers would like to see happen.
It's disgraceful that of all the positive things Oprah could have discussed with this bi-racial, UK/US couple to bring unity, she clearly went with her uniformed, poisonous, pseudo-psychological blame-assigning agenda towards Harry's family as her line of questioning.
Did you get a chance to see this from Sunday? Stick around to see the many people of color featured in this hour-long spectacular. A wonderful array of cultures, music, costumes and messages:
I think Meghan’s presence in the family is an obvious asset to the Commonwealth and that she has a right to stand her ground and set the tone for the kind of future she sees for her and her children, and what she is willing or not willing to put up with. And for Prince Harry this is a matter of literal life and death given what happened to his mom.
My favorite footage tends to be from the war memorial church services. And I think it’s sad Prince Harry’s military titles were stripped considering how long he served...including in dangerous firsthand combat. That was disproportionate “punishment”’for he and Meghan wanting their space from all the hoopla of the institution. Esp in the early years of married life.
You are delusional.
keeping it classy:
... the 94-year-old monarch has released a statement addressing the claims made in the interview, saying she is “saddened” to learn how “challenging” life has been for Harry and Meghan, as well as saying the “issues raised” are “concerning”.
The statement, released by Buckingham Palace, read: “The whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan.
“The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning. Whilst some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately.
“Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much loved family members.”
...Hillary Clinton says the ‘cruelty’ the British press showed to Meghan Markle was ‘outrageous’ and has slammed the Royals for failing to support a ‘young woman who was just trying to live her life’.
It’s too late for them to complain about the Royal Family’s institutional obligations to the British people who pay for their lifestyles. That was the package Meghan took on when getting engaged. There are many things we don’t get to control in life and in employment (to be a working royal is a job), and some preferences we don’t get to dictate to our senior family members, no matter how high- or low-born any of us may be. So it’s not that she shouldn’t stand her ground, but that she wouldn’t bend, compromise, wait her turn, learn the ropes and be graceful about the restrictions in exchange for the privileges.
For this American striver to take on a 1,000-year-old institution and vow to “hit the ground running” in her attempts to mold it to her personal tastes, all while learning to be a couple, coping with the media and pushing out a child in her advanced birthing years was arrogantly ambitious in the extreme, especially with the example of how well “modernizing the monarchy” worked out for Diana. Meghan wasn’t spiritually strong enough to prioritize building her marriage to a working royal over her personal lust for control, fame and power, and grow into her role at a pace that would help her endure. Meghan hasn’t publicly expressed a single word in terms of Christian teachings.
From a solid position after some years of patient learning and growing as a couple, they could have accomplished much in the future. But their petulance has cost them their main chance. It will be a cheapened existence from here on out.
If an American senior officer decided to go live in the UK and assume a royal title, would he be able to keep his rank and uniform? No. Could Harry discharge his actual duties as a senior officer from 2,721 miles away? No. If a white missionary married into a solely African family, would the family be curious about what color the baby would be? Of course. Would that be racism? No; not unless they denounced it, which I do not believe any immediate member of the British Royal Family has done regarding Harry’s child, given their historic position as global diplomats to a multicultural group of 154 nations and patrons to countries “of color.”
Meghan hubristically took on the most empowered woman in the world, who has been admired around the world for discharging her position dutifully and gracefully for 70 years, and failed—while bleating about empowering women. It’s not because of her racial mixture, but her outsized self-promotion, unwillingness to learn both before and after leaping, lack of accountability, and emotional insecurity. Diana and Fergie fell on the same combo of factors.
I agree. The palace/Queen shouldn’t get down and dirty with the two of them.
Meghan’s comment was absurd and did what she wanted it to. She’s an American and knows just how “hot” a charge of racism is.
When someone is accused of being racist, the room is sucked out of all the air. Nothing else matters.
LOL! No kidding! Meghan might be termed a traitor.
I’m wondering if Megain has some deluded idea they can force William and Charles out and have Harry installed as the leader of UK..
Too bad they don’t do a “fact check” on the interview. I do expect things the family covered up about MM will start to come to light.
I don’t discount much of what you say except that’s like saying the Catholic Church or the Evangelical world or the Republican Party or America or UK itself doesn’t have some inherently systemic issues that are compromising their institutions from within — even without any external disturbances. The British monarchy has stood the test of time despite (our 1776) revolution and the downfall of its neighboring monarchies in Europe. Obviously it’s done a lot right.
But It is not beyond reproach. And it does need to take a deep look in the mirror every now and then.
Okay, so Hillary Clinton has now chimed in.
I believe the world is waiting for my opinion as well.
But I will wait until I get my $7 million check!
Has Jen found out her boss’s opinion? Hopefully an intrepid reporter will ask her soon!
Palace statement. “For the Royal Family, the objections to Miss Meghan was never a matter of race. We knew from the very beginning of her relationship with Harry that she was a simple Gold Digger. This worked out exactly as the queen expected.”
We certainly do agree on that, especially for egregious injustices, or even legitimate modernization, like the recent law that would have allowed Williams' firstborn to be crowned even if it had been a girl, whereas before, she would have been passed over for a younger brother.
But as a test case, this particular one with M&H is full of holes.
OOOOOOooo what you said! :)
