Hidden Bias of Good People (Swallow This BS or You're a Bad Person)

WXMI — On Monday, March 8 at 7 p.m., FOX 17 is airing a special segment on diversity and implicit bias called ‘The Hidden Bias of Good People.’ The segment will be led by Dr. Bryant Marks, a leading implicit bias trainer.

Dr. Marks completed his undergraduate major in psychology at Moorehouse College, where he now teaches, and his doctorate in psychology from University of Michigan. He has worked on diversity and equity initiatives for Fortune 500 companies, police departments and served as a presidential adviser on race and diversity to the Obama Administration.

During the hour, Dr. Marks will characterize implicit bias and talk about the role it plays in our workplaces and daily lives.

“My colleagues will get mad at me for simplifying it this way, but [implicit bias] is basically when a stereotype can affect how we think, feel or behave at a subconscious level. That’s really the essence of it,” he told FOX17 ahead of the special.

Bias exists in everyone, says Dr. Marks, and can affect the way we feel, think and in some cases act. It comes from repetition in society.

“The only two ingredients you need for having implicit bias are living in society and having a brain; that’s it,” said Dr. Marks. “These are universal human principles that apply to all of us. If I say to you ‘police officer’ and you think male it doesn’t make you sexist, it’s because 90% of police officers are men. If I say to you ‘kindergarten teacher’ and you think female, it doesn’t make you sexist.”

But Dr. Marks says being aware of our biases doesn’t have to be a bad thing, unless we let it impact us negatively. He was clear: blatant racism and sexism and ageism do exist, but examining the bias we have can result in positive change. He used one example of an employer who took names off prospective job candidate’s resumes, using solely their experience instead.

“People went to the same school, sort of think alike, similar backgrounds…they’re going to say ‘yeah, I like that, because my life experience corresponds to your life experience,’” said Dr. Marks. “But if you have diversity in a room, they say ‘wait wait wait…well I don’t really see it like that. In my experience it’s this way.’ That’s where diversity of thought and diversity of experience is an asset.”

For anyone trying to add diversity in their life, Dr. Marks says start simple with TV shows, movies and books featuring diversity.

“Maybe I can control or balance out my exposure,” Dr. Marks urged people to think. “Maybe I could watch certain TV shows, documentaries or movies that feature women or minorities in prominent ways, in positive ways. Maybe I can, when I raise my kids, show books and characters that balance out. Once you’re informed you can curate your existence in a way that has more balance in it.”

This idea is being put out on multiple stations and platforms to make you accept the Leftist's tactic to view yourself as a villain - we are supposed to believe we're evil no matter how fairly we treat others for the sole reason one's having been born Caucasion. Those of us who've strived to see our fellow humans by their qualities over their pigment are being castigated as perpetuating racism, morally failing by following MLK's dream and not seeing everything through racism-colored glasses like the evil people pushing this agenda. Color Orange=kangaroo=Denmark? Really? You have to see this for yourself. Someone gave a bow-tied man who would ordinarily be in a mental institution a television slot and that's abuse of everyone!

I'm righteously angry with the war being waged by on patriots, Christians, conservatives, veterans, legal immigrants and everyone else who love our Founders' ideal of America. No other nation accepts anyone regardless of color, creed or ideals so long as they abide by laws more fair than any other country possesses. The radicals pushing this "self-revisement" are not only ignorant of (or purposely ignoring) slavery stretching into pre-historic times, refusing to acknowledge America led the world to abolish it - they demand "reparations" that have ben repaid multiple times over. The largest action of that is the saddest - Lyndon Johnson's "Great Society" that set up the current welfare system that actually disenfranchised blacks and removed any incentive for self-improvement. It broke up the traditional family unit while creating a dependency class who were forced to trade stepping up on their own for a guaranteed check. Yet another blow from a Democrat politician.

50 plus years we made slow steady progress in racial understanding until Barack Obama. That weasel devoted his efforts to stir resentment and belittle decades of astonishing societal advancement with his communist tactics of divide and sow discontentment. Eight years of that made many (not most) people aware their fellows who elected him because of their "white guilt" weren't only wrong; they were stupid for doing so and re-electing him. Yet America's Founders plan withstood this.

Donald Trump brought back patriotism, love of country and pride in our history on top of disrupting the D.C. swampers selling our nation's resources, influences and backing to the highest bidder. Too many career politicians signed on to "Play Ball" after a few years of pressure (the Swamp) so Trump had to go. That they did so with the entire legal system proving corrupted (or gutless, same result) has shown we the people can no longer be held to respect them. We are called to correct them, replace them or see them dancing on air. I abhor violence despite trained for it but seeing some of these power-mad lunatics running amok without restraint (ice cream), when any sane person at their age would be enjoying retirement in their last few years, makes me see a last peaceful injection a mercy for their constituents and themselves.

If we don't stand up for our fundemental God-given rights this wave of evil "cancel culture" and attempts to re-write history will tip our country to certain destruction. We already have total Leftist brainwashing in colleges and universities with all levels of education already infected. All children not in private schools are already inundated with this crap yet some of these villains dare argue that infants should be taken from their parents before school age because "racist indoctrination begins at birth". I say those who endorse that carry through Sangers' plan for cultural purification - starting with themselves.

Bottom line: This preaching that we're racist despite not being racist is an attack on the weak-minded, who we have an unfortunate surplus of thanks to years of socialist-dominated education systems. I never had a thought on the subject until bussed to a previously all-black junior high school in an all-black neighboorhood where their all black parents threw bricks and rocks at my all yellow bus full of 30 white kids meant to integrate a 300 black student school. Despite the hate, beatings and one stabbing I stayed above descending to racism and that mystefied people. So I'm utterly against this clown who seems to be cranking on cocaine making zero sense that networks gave time to.

What they want is for everyone to shut up and follow the leader. The Leftist leader, whoever it is. The leader will be manipulated behind the scenes by the truly powerful elite. The rest of us are supposed to be so afraid to speak up that we just silently follow the leader.

The cancel culture is used to generate fear. People are canceled in order to generate fear in the rest of us. Once canceled, you might as well be dead. You can never be forgiven or restored. This is the basis of the fear.

Today, there are certain issues that are used to determine who gets canceled. Tomorrow there will be other issues. The objective is not to improve society or establish justice or any of the other baloney that we are hearing. The objective is to silence all opposition and establish absolute obedience. Not to create a better world, but to solidify the base of power and eliminate all opposition.

Absolute power supported by terror.
