“In recognition of their service as part of the security mission at the U.S. Capitol and other facilities in Washington, D.C., before, during and after the 59th Presidential Inauguration, the District of Columbia National Guard plans to present all Soldiers and Airmen who took part in the mission one or both of the following decorations: the District of Columbia National Guard Presidential Inauguration Support Ribbon and/or the District of Columbia Emergency Service Ribbon,” Carver said in a statement.
“Both ribbons are District-level decorations. Plans for their presentation are not yet final. Other federal decorations are also being considered.”

They should go John Kerry and throw them very the fence!
Wow! I saw more action doing guard duty at the Officer’s Club at Fort Ord during Basic Training...
Where’s my ribbon??
Throw them over the barbed wire or puke that rancid swill they provided all over them. Then burn them along with the face masks.
They would prefer a decent meal and a warm place to sleep.
Pink? No, Metalic? No, Yellow?, No, Violet?
Serious question. If a soldier earns a ribbon or award, are they required to wear it on their uniform when they wear other ribbons?
America has become an international laughingstock.
LOL!
A Purple Heart for casualties from the Battle of Capitol Hill
A picture, instead of having to click a blog?
I can believe that.. :)
Maybe present them in a box of Cracker Jack?
Without diving down deep in to corollary army regulations, all that I can discern is that a CO ‘may’ find a soldier ‘out of uniform’ for failing to display a decoration on their Class A uniform...if the wearing of such a decoration was mandated (the language on most all awards is ‘may display’).

They remind me of what Bill Mauldin called “Garretroopers” though no fault of their own.
Too far forward to salute, too far back from the front line to get shot.
This deployment has was done by the snowflakes in power who read one too many novels about the French Revolution and the role of the French “National Guard” had protecting the “revolution”. What they don’t understand is that the “National Guard” tired of the revolutionaries, turned on them and executed their leaders.
Thank you.
When you see the rows and rows and rows and rows of ribbons that make these people look like generals from a third world country, this is how they got them.
I would refuse to wear it, and make sure it’s removed from my personnel record. That is a mark of embarrassment.
I’d be hard pressed to find that award worthy of being on my uniform
