It’s about a decade before my growing up years, but it seems pretty similar to the 60s and early 70s. I’m only about halfway through it.
Lou Groza, famous lineman and kicker from the Browns, was my Dad’s insurance agent. And it wasn’t just his name on the agency, he actually did the work.
Back then even veteran players usually worked real jobs in the off season.
