I paid almost $4 last night in Verde Valley AZ. Down in Scottsdale is hovering around $3. It was $2 when FXXhead took over.
How about the average American google a graph of the oil price. That might explain it, no, duh? I mean get real people.
Take a look at apples, automobiles and bread since 1975. They have outstripped inflation by a large margin. Oil not so much.
Calif has that season gas thing they mandate, winter arrives and they change the formula and the price goes up, then summer comes and they change the formula and the price goes up again.
In NC IT HAS not gone up relative to oil prices. I’m assuming underpresidential threat for now.

Lots of info by state/national etc on gasoline prices.
Look around to find different options to choose from.

Saw $3.39 for Premium at Chevron today in Phoenix.
That’s a quick upward tick of about a Buck since Harris/Obama took the throne.
The ones paying the price are not happy, but not smart enough to link Biden and higher gas prices.
Average cost of $2.50/gal in Tennessee.
