The ‘Cat in the Hat’ isn’t black – and that’s a problem

In Virginia, Dr. Seuss is in trouble, not for having once drawn naked ladies, but because his ridiculous characters are – wait for it -- racist.

Theodore Geisel, aka Dr. Seuss, might be one of the most-read authors in the English (or, more accurately, the sort-of English) language. Since The Cat In The Hat was published in 1957, generations of American children have sounded out simple words while reading about the eponymous cat and the havoc he wreaked with Thing One and Thing Two on a boring, rainy day. However, the wokerati have now come for him, claiming that his weird, mostly zoomorphic creations are, in fact, racist.

SNIP

Loudoun County Schools, one of Virginia’s largest and most affluent school districts, is firing the man who helped generations of children learn how to read because, the district claims, his books have “racial undertones.” This decision comes about thanks to input from Learning for Justice, a national educators group with a decidedly left-wing orientation:

These people have been deliberately destroying the educational system for decades. They must be stopped.

By any means necessary.

I never could stand the Dr.Seuss books. And then they had that Jim Carey nut play the Grinch. That really sealed the deal.

It’s been quite a while, what color is The Cat in the Hat?

Everything that isn’t black is racist. Is that what you want? It has been said that those who do not study the past are destined to repeat it.

Underlying this sort of attack on popular authors of the past is a way for those with no talent to gain attention. They tear down the author, then stand atop the pile of rubble they create to claim their superiority.

Forced negrophilia at the end of a gun is going to have some very unfortunate, unforeseen consequences for those promoting it.

Huh? Perhaps the GREATEST anti-racism children's story is Dr Seuss' "The Sneetches".

race card + bigot card + sexist card + homophobe card + islamophobe card + nazi card + klan card + white privilege card + white supremacy card + white nationalism card + victim card + oppressed card + outraged/appalled card + self-pity card + pity me card + blame game = excuse/rationalization to justify leftard anti-effort mentality parasites (looters/moochers), who choose not to think and take self responsibility, and who want to be able to gain the unearned, the undeserved, and something for nothing

As Dr. Seuss books did espouse ideas that line up with Judeo-Christian values, of course the ‘woke’ consider such work as ‘racist’. If an idea is ‘good’ and ‘fair’, by definition, it is bad. All part of the radical left’s plan to ‘burn it all down’.

I think after the pandemic American education is going to be faced with chronic absenteeism. Parents and students are learning that classroom learning is optional and Even open expensive private schools have low attendance problems. It will take years and faked standardized testing results to reach the liberal ideal of socialism style education equality if attendance drops or flatlines. Every student will suffer and take decades to correct.

The article is interesting enough but fails to cite one...or any...specific example of what the hell these idiots at ‘Learning for Justice’ are talking about. Generalizations and vague language.
