Three days ago - the brave warriors in the MSM fought hard to prevent the law from passing. Many articles about how North Dakota cases and deaths are rising. Is this a deadly third wave?
I’m hoping to still be able to take my planned trip to South Dakota later this year. I will make it a point to go a bit out of my way and drive through North Dakota and go back through Iowa. Maybe I will make a side trip to the relatively also free state of Nebraska.
Unfortunately, there is no avoiding Illinois, unless I wanted to go through states that are not much better or even worse—Wisconsin and Michigan.
I plan to never get off the interstate.
Missouri would make the trip too exhausting.

That’s how it is in Ohio, so I can live with that.
I should be able to get through Illinois without stopping, although I don’t really want to fill up in Gary, Indiana, but I suppose there must be some gas stations right off the interstate there that are safe enough.
I’m more concerned that Illinois gets even weirder/the governor gets even more psycho and that they randomly start pulling over people and testing them for COVID or something or testing you before they let you use the restroom at a rest stop.

The Chicago mayor is the whacky one. Illinois is divided up into Covid zones. I80 spans 3 of them. So it is conceivable you could have a sit down meal in a zone and carry out only in another zone. I believe the entire state is one level below a full opening...
