BREAKING Turbine blades of a Boeing 747-400F’s engine fell on several parked cars

After its engine caught fire and lost pieces of turbine blades shortly after departure, the aircraft entered into a holding pattern at 10,000 feet and diverted to Liege Airport. ...The pieces of turbine blades fell in the vicinity of Meerssen, and multiple parked cars were damaged. No injuries have been reported as of now.

Made in Seattle? Probably not. I think most aircraft engines are made by Rolls-Royce, GE, or United Technologies.

Not Germany. Belgium and Holland. I think Meerssen sounds Dutch.
I was up that way in 1995, exploring the Bastogne battlefields.
Very beautiful from Luxembourg, west Netherlands and South through Belgium and France. A half day’s drive from Ramstein AB.
