Gun Control Group Can Help You Find Pro-Gun Bank

Right now, one of the biggest threats to our Second Amendment rights doesn’t come from Congress, but from the financial industry. Banks are cutting ties with gun stores and manufacturers unless they comply with certain insane rules that have no basis in reality but lets the CEO of the bank get invited to certain parties.

To make matters worse, pretty much everyone needs banking of some type. It’s how the world operates these days.

So how, as gun rights supporters, can we navigate the waters of the activist financial industry?

Luckily one group is helping with that, though I don’t it meant to help us.

The group Guns Down America, which advocates for fewer guns, has released a consumer scorecard ranking the nation’s 15 largest banks by how much money they lend to the gun industry and how much money they donate to pro-NRA politicians.

Six banks in the Guns Down America survey got an F grade — which could mean they are really bad or really good depending on which side of the gun-control issue you are on.

The lowest rated bank was North Carolina-based BB&T, which the organization said helped arrange nearly $150 million in loans to gun companies over a four-year period. BB&T operates branches in 15 states and Washington D.C. It doesn’t have any branches in Arizona.

It was closely followed by Wells Fargo, which the organization noted has been called “The NRA’s bank.” The company has extended nearly half a billion dollars in credit to gun makers since 2012.

Others on the F list were TD Bank, US Bank, PNC Bank and Chase Bank.

Sounds like Restraint of Trade to me. Someone needs to take these people to Court.

That’s probably a very good idea, as long as the SEC doesn’t use leftist tactics and clamp down on it.

Just a general question....Although I know banks are private independent companies......

If a bank refused to give loans to a single race (regardless of color) they would be in violation of the Constitution and banking laws.

If a bank refused to give loans to a specific religion (regardless of type) they would be in violation of the Constitution and banking laws.

If a bank refuses to give a loan strictly based on a legally held right in the constitution such as the 2nd Amendment, why are they not in violation of the Constitution and banking law?

Fire away! (pun intended)

This is where liberals saying “reputational management” gives them an out. We say we’re afraid of liberal digital lynch mobs? We can refuse to do business with you. That it is a gun company or conservative is irrelevant ... by their definition.

Because the Constitution has been replaced with Civil Rights legislation.

The answer to your question is that race and religion are specifically protected legal victim classes, while being a Second Amendment person or rights-exerciser isn’t a legally protected victim class. By way of example, those going topless or barefoot are also not legally protected victim classes, which is why it is legal for stores to have signs that say “no shirt, no shoes, no service”.

However, you do have to bake a cake if the asker is a legally protected victim class member.

So many people keep getting it wrong.

We don’t have a “second amendment right,” just as we don’t have a “first amendment right.”

We have Natural Rights endowed to us by our Creator. The Bill of Rights, most specifically the First and Second Amendments, recognizes that as fact, and places restrictions on the government from infringing on those Natural Rights.

Agreed. The right to self-defense is Biblical and existed before we ever had guns.

“So how, as gun rights supporters, can we navigate the waters of the activist financial industry?”

Run your dollars through a cryptocurrency exchange, like Kraken. Buy bitcoin. Convert the bitcoin to dollars at the exchange. Send dollars from the exchange to the fiat bank.

As long as you’ve followed the KYC (Know your customer) rules with the exchange, you are 100% legal, and there’s not a thing fiat banks can do to stop it.

Here’s a novel idea. Just pull out all monies within these establishments since they want to act like heathens then watch them scream uncle.

Interesting, but the article is written AssBackwards. Pro gun people are looking for the Best Banks. This article presents a list of Banks calling them the worst with F ratings, etc. And only when you get further into the text you realize that the “worst” is actually referring the Best for Pro 2nd Amendment people and his list is actually the worst Banks for the Gun Control Grabbers. Wouldn’t have just been simpler and more logical to give the Best Banks for Firearms Owners and list the Worst Banks for Gun Business Last? This writer has added nothing but unnecessary confusion to the issue.
