Vaccine doing its job!
The steep fall began before significant vaccine deployment.
I suspect herd immunity has kicked in.
*The removal of POTUS Trump.
No, we’re on the down side of the bell curve that we’ve seen three times in the US and multiple times in every country around the world. We had a big jump during the holidays and that’s ending.
The vaccines will show a serious impact by around June with actual herd immunity (Rt < 1) sometime in July. Either way, the fat lady’s warming up to sing.
Total 100% BS
Last summer’s second wave started with at the low of 634 deaths on July 3rd and climbed to a high of 1,855 on July 30th. It was on October 11th (329 deaths) that the third wave began and by Jan 12, hit 4,512 deaths. That was 2.4 times what the high was in the previous wave. It is New Jersey and New York leading the nation in deaths/million population. I bet many moved out of those states for fear of getting infected. It may have brought outbreaks to new areas of the country.
I suspect it was the criteria for diagnosing... finally requiring symptoms. That motorcycle accident resulting in decapitation would. No longer be counted.
Fully Crediting for herd immunity equals the dems repeating this every time they want something. It also equals the buy of the lie.
I posted right here before election, if plugs becomes prez, covid will magically disappear.
Herd immunity argument is well proved by examining CA Vs FL.
CA is all closed up, FL is all open. Floridians acquired immunity faster by exposure. CA people isolated and no chance to develop natural immunity vis exposure. Mortality rate in FL is lower than CA!
