That’s what I did. I found what I believe was the first thread. It has about 600+ replies, and counting. I don’t understand why so people think their personal opinion requires a new thread. I would venture to guess that 99.999% of FReepers have their own personal opinion about Rush.

Today I can understand the vanities. It isn’t every day that a mountain of a man passes away. In my opinion, Rush and Jim Robinson have done more for this country over the past two decades than all the talking head conservatives had.

I am in 100% agreement. No one person will ever replace Rush. All those radio time slots around the country, will eventually be split like Alexander's empire. Never to ever be as powerful as the original.

I read once that great men are never replaced, whether it be political or religious. All that happened is all the followers end up following those they agree with, and in time, like huge churches who's starting pastor dies, they eventually split and go their way.

So the answer to the question of who will replace Rush is not who, but how many. In time they will all have their own differing opinions on many issues.

We tuned into Rush, not just for his political opinion, but for his opinions on life. He was an original, that will never ever be repeated in many of our lives.
