Followers of The Prepared were likely better off during the pandemic, compared to those who just read emergency preparedness guidelines from organizations like The American Red Cross. Until recently, most organizations suggested storing only three days’ worth of food and water. The Prepared says two weeks is better—and was one of the first outlets to suggest the importance of buying facemasks. It wasn’t until April that The National Center for Disaster Preparedness recommended people start buying protective masks that align with guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Their food and water guidelines have evolved to recommend anywhere from three to 14 days of nourishment—depending on budget and space constraints.

Yes, that is misleading but also sad as I do not recall seeing hardly any of the many posters on that list. Note though: NW Arizona Granny is Now with God
“I bought 5 gallons of 100% denatured alcohol.”
I bought five 1.75 liter bottles of ethyl alcohol!😎
Very impressive. I stopped short of acquiring a backup solar system. I figured an alternate bug-out location on this planet was good enough.
I wish Freepers had an island.
Meanwhile in the low income densely populated multi-ethnic city in which I have lived for 27 years then they have been giving out boxes (plural) of free food at least twice a week for almost a year now. "Free" at tax payer expense, so people become dependent even more on gov. and leads to rationing and more restrictions, and fear of offending in speech and voting against largess. But we gave out thousands of gospel tracts to those in line over the course of many weeks, praise God, may He seek fruit because of it.
I found 34% food grade hydrogen peroxide https://bulkperoxide.com/ $122.04 for 2 Gal. with shipping but at 1-1/4 cups to make a gallon it is not much cheaper than buying the 3% standard H202 from a store, but that is not food grade. Some put a very weak solution (1?) in a essential oil disperser (whatever they are called) and report improved health.
Thanks for the input. Grace and peace thru Jesus the Lord.
This is the year to start to learn.
This major winter storm is going to really hurt crops across the south. I foresee shortages of stuff like lettuce and celery, and other cold sensitive veggies.
For a good place to start, go here.

Denatured = methanol
We stopped at one year’s supply. That’s when you are near to tipping over into cuckoo. 😆
I tried gardening in 2020—I am a total newbie.
Success—red and green peppers, carrots.
Fail—tomatos and cucumbers.
Every year I hope to get a little better... :-)
Some people can't think , or prepare for more than three days at a time due to finances, family matters, unemployed, etc.,.. but it's a start.
The most concise informative article that I have found is a 12/17/17 article :

72 hour Prepeardness In Three Layers
#1) The first layer of this emergency system is the Individual Kit.
#2) The next layer : A separate Family Kit will contain everything else needed by the family as a whole.(spare clothing change, food, entertainment items)
#3) The last layer of this emergency system is Vehicle Kits for travel: (for emergencies away from home/ or while 'in transit')

That’s sure backwards.
Usually the peppers and tomatoes are switched.
I am sorry to hear that.
