An increasingly hostile ruling class, who conceive of themselves as occupying a disloyal, irredentist America, is a formula for weakness abroad and conflict at home.
One of Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin’s first actions after confirmation has been to order a “60 day stand down” to combat extremism. This follows the widespread and mostly baseless establishment fantasy that “right-wing extremists” and “white supremacists” are running rampant and pose some immediate threat to the country.
The details and definitions will ultimately determine whether this campaign is a sensible one that is in keeping with the Constitution or ends up being a purge of the overwhelmingly conservative ranks of the military. No reasonable person would object to removing dangerous and disloyal people from the service, but such a limited goal is distinct from punishing those with merely dissenting and idiosyncratic views. For example, a recent briefing among the Army’s Special Forces singled out Pepe the Frog and the Gadsden Flag as signs of extremism. These popular symbols—one an historical American flag—are widely embraced among the mainstream Right.
Austin’s other priorities do not signal moderation or common sense. He has ordered the services to allow transgender members to serve and enlist, including the right to “medically-necessary transition-related care.” He has also purged defense advisory boards of hundreds of Trump appointees without regard to their qualifications.

In the absence of prolonged, sustained combat, it is the pole climbing ,politically adept officers who make it to the top. In the event of real war, much suffering and disaster ensues. It has always happenned this way throughout history.

Seems like the only military personal who lost their marbles in recent times and shot up their fellow soldiers were not white conservatives. Fort Hood comes to mind.
They will fill the ranks with the Godless who hate themselves, their parents, their country. Perfect for little NAZI soldiers.
From the light digging I have done it looks like he was selected for this role and was advanced through the ranks to be in position for this time in history. 0bama likely had a lot to do with it.

That’s basically what liberals have been preaching for the last 50 years, going back to the Cold War. “I am embarrassed to call myself an American” has been the battle cry of coastal liberals in reference to all the “hicks” in flyover country.
And the GOP establishment have always been on board with this. Now that it’s finally been exposed that there’s absolutely no difference between Bush and Obama, they are drawing their weapons against us.
The first thing we need to do is clean up the Red States. Throw out every Congressman and Senator from flyover country who is not a fire breathing MAGA supporter. I have 10 times more contempt for phony Red state politicians than I do for the worst of the most openly Marxist coastal Democrats.

Based upon recent observations, their removal will be based upon an edict. No court will overrule such an edict.
We are in a world beyond law and beyond constitutional rules. They do what they want, and use a form of sophistry to put it into verbiage that sounds legal. But they simply issue an edict.
It’s basically literally the way it happens in China. It’s he only way unelected leaders can operate.
I come from a proud military family. I discouraged my kids from joining. Breaks my heart to even say that....what’s been done to our once great military. 🙁
The primary system is designed so that NEVER happens. It's all rigged.
I predict that in 5 years or less, the demonrats will reintroduce the draft. Most of the enlisted and up to maybe captain will walk away.
The democrats are creating the army to oppose their agenda.
Keep this pace up and in 4 years the Chinese can just walk right in - and likely we’ll be welcoming them as a relief.
