Essentially their attitude is, “We’re in power now, the media is on our side, so you all are under our thumb.”
From moment one of the Trump administration, the tone of the White House press corps was confrontational, aggressive and malicious. The DC establishment loathed the new 45th president and made their contempt for him clear each and every moment they could; they were aiming for street cred.
The media never appreciated his transparency, his willingness to stand and deliver for sometimes over an hour, inside the press room or on the White House lawn. They never let up; they all competed with one another to see who could ask the nastiest question, who could elicit the most damaging quote to take out of context. With a few blessed exceptions, these thoroughly disingenuous media pitbulls were and remain a shameless bunch of middle school bullies trying to one-up each other, even as they all set out daily to do the President as much harm as possible.
But they never laid a hand on him! President Trump had an answer for every gotcha hardball they threw at him. The same goes for Trump’s press secretaries, Sean Spicer, Sarah Sanders and Kayleigh McEnany. Each of them endured a trial by fire and prevailed. They generally exposed the WH press corps for being the jerks they are.
The American people are not well-served by the national media. For four years they had one goal in mind: destroy Trump. Now they have another singular goal: protect senile China Joe, no matter how much damage he/his handlers are doing to the nation on a daily basis. No hard questions for Joe, ever! He cannot reply without a teleprompter, which he usually has trouble reading. His attempts at answering questions are embarrassing.

Stolen elections have consequences.
First sentence nails it. The Left is on a power high with no “downer” in sight.
I think the “cancelling” of conservatives is just beginning. The illegal immigrants may be our planned replacements.
He’s still doing it to them. He is Batman/Robinhoood, the Orange Avenger, and they are just a bunch of henchmen with no super villain to make them interesting, just an elderly mafia don with an army of non-descript henchmen, none of whom are any too bright.
The hero of the people wins in the end, even if the villains stuff ballot boxes. They didn’t respect the electoral process, so it does not select anyone who means anything to anyone, just the hero of the people for standing up to the villains.
I don’t think the lesson will be learned, but Trump came into office in 2017 and did many good things for many people, and I think he strictly followed the laws, and was as good as can be — but they hated him for all of it. Trump was Hitler. The media opposed him 100%.
So, if Republicans are ever allowed to win an election again, what should they do? I think they should seize total power. Act like dictators. Change everything. Punish all the people who need punishing. In other words, act like Democrats.
What’s the worst that could happen? Would the media hate the Republican president? Would they say “This guy is Hitler!” We’ve already been there. Over nothing.

Actually, Trump’s biggest mistake was that he tolerated Dem behavior and never really made them pay in any way for their attacks on and undermining of his government. He didn’t do mass firings of people he could have fired, he never made people like Pelosi pay in any way for their viciousness and lies, etc.
I think one of the reasons we lost the House in the midterms was because people were hoping for more aggressive actions by Trump and the GOP against the Dems and their relentless attacks. Instead the Russia, Russia, Russia hoax dragged on, with people in the DOJ that he could easily have fired doing their best to do nothing to help him or the country.

Who could have doubted that would be the case?
If Liberals behaved SO badly during the campaign, who on earth would expect anything better, once their coup was successful?
When democrats see the words We The People they think is about them.
Not disputing that, but the fact remains that, while the Dems keep calling him Hitler, he never really struck back.
