We wrapped ‘em all in a mains’l tight
With twice ten turns of a hawser’s bight
And we heaved ‘em over and out of sight,
With a Yo-Heave-Ho! and a fare-you-well
And a sudden plunge in the sullen swell
Ten fathoms deep on the road to hell,
Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum!

Some men see things as they are, and ask Whydah. I dream of things that never were, and ask Whydah not.

“At least six pirate skeletons were recently discovered in a shipwreck off the coast of Cape Cod.”
6 more absentee Dem ballots to count.

An ancestor of mine died in a shipwreck in 1748.
But he wasn't a pirate. At least as far as I know.

Interesting.
From another source: “Bellamy’s crew was made up of enslaved Africans, Native Americans, and sailors from across Europe and North America. Originally a British slave ship, the vessel was captured by Bellamy in early 1717.”
Most Americans are aware the Brits engaged in the African slave trade but are unaware that they rounded up Native Americans for the slave trade.
